  yea been there. I feel your pain. its basic respect they lack for your privacy and right to parent your own kids.
  

  no help when you need it, when your jumping through hoops, but people sure find faults way later.

  so much for being supportive.
  

  but Im the mom, and had someone got in my way and I became aware of it, Id have pounced all over them.

  elders were my equal. I chose to view them that way because its a fact. i never was in fear of the elders, and they knew it. they make mistakes too.
  

  if they do not claim to be special, and are fellow Christians , then that means I am every bit if not more exp than they are. and often times I was.

  My kid ,lay off. my business, mind your own, follow your own advice and don't listen to gossip and stay out of my right to parent. i can read a bible.
  

  isnt it funny, somehow this org thinks its ok to tell adults what to do...
  

  were adults we dont need some other adult to tell us what to do and how to think.

  does anyone know what book this is from?.

  Faithful Slave is not appointed yet - only in the future

  did you read this study articel in which the slave says it is not appointed yet?.

  excerpt from study articel 13 7/15 p 8. so there is good reason for us to understand matthew 24:46, 47 to mean that jesus will arrive to appoint the faithful slave over all his belongings at that time in the future during the great tribulation.

  The master has not yet arrived, as the memorial is to cease on his arrival, and so the Slave has not been appointed over all the belongings.
  1 Corinthians 11:26 "For as often as you eat this loaf and drink this cup, you keep proclaiming the death of the Lord, until he arrives (erchomai)."]
  I personally feel the apostles were the intended audience,  a teaching parable for them, and they were given the 'belongings' in Acts ch 1. just my opinion.

  my mom is only in her mid 60s so i'm quite sure this is not an issue of mental illness.. the only illness she's suffering from is boredom since she's refused to work for years now.

  i bought a nearly new 7-speed bicycle at a yard sale for $30 last weekend and took it out this morning on our paved local bicycle/walking trail.

  the last time i rode was in my early- to mid- twenties when i used a bicycle to get to and from the kh for my pioneer service.

  I dont know where you are living, but no one in their right mind rides a bike anywhere accept bike trails, which there are few around here. you have to drive to get to them. its stinks.
  

  too dangerous, narrow rural roads, fast highways, and no sidewalks to walk on either, youll get run over.lol

  their halls are already resembling the"money changers in the temple".

  I dont know how anyone would know, isn't the box in the back for anyone to drop in any amount?
  

  I rarely had funds to donate. when they start requiring a check or some form to trace the donator, so they can keep track, then that is exactly what was condemned by them, the passing of the plate....
  

  I know that my moms cong [rural and low income] was pretty much reliant on the few elders and men who worked at the local chemical plants, and other decent paying rare jobs. they made the most money, and pretty much had to support the hall themselves. which is why when the khall loan was paid off, they actually could take a breather and save for a new roof........ which i dont think they even have yet.
  

  years ago, a C.O. came along and told them that anyone with rotating shift jobs that were missing a few meetings, had to get new jobs, lol.

  no one in their right mind is going to quit a good paying job, with health benefits.that they have had for years. when you have years in a company.... some at age 50 something were supposed to just 'go out' and find new jobs in an area with nothing more than retail! loose their retirements,lol. the hall would have ceased to exist.
  

  since a few of them were only ten years away from retirement, they stepped down. this was a repeat to many halls in the area, since where we live there are few companies that are not rotating shifts.

  without a degree or training, its all low paying retail and food service around here.
  

  even retail is shifts. they wont hire anyone unless you are willing to work any hours, they don't care if you have kids. they want to own you.
  

  so, if they keep telling people to not take good jobs, because they're rotating shifts they wont have any money period.

  the GB has instead burdened many congs and in the end, making them sell and move in with other halls due to lack of funds,by taking their savings and making them remodel when they did not have to. self consuming actually.

  I`m on Windows 10 and my mouse keeps dying , any suggestions ? what to do ?

  hi friends.. as the op states lately my mouse keeps dying on me while i`m in the middle of typing a post or whatever and so i lose all that i have laboured to type.. i keep resurrecting the mouse but now it`s dying more frequently .. any suggestions on how to get around this problem , or am i flogging a dead mouse ?.

  lol, I know, um it was sort of a joke. cats have 9 lives, computer mice that die multiple times might, cats mice .... haha.

  Finally watched the anti-gay WT video

  i avoided watching the wt video where the daughter/mother discuss 'leaving' gaydom behind in order to reach paradise for as long as i could, but finally gave in and watched it; just so i know exactly what it says and how it's presented, should it come up in conversation with jw family.. it wasn't as shocking as i expected, having read some of the angst filled posts here and on facebook (thanks to george takei).

  they're presenting their beliefs as supported by scripture from the bible.

  and if you're a true believer in that book, then you would find yourself having to at least give some thought to what is said.

  i think for many of us , its the simple fact that, of all the things a religious organization can make a cartoon about that is age appropriate, and is a positive message,[how to help grandma, and grandpa, how to save precious water, how to plant a garden, how not to waste food, how to be kind to animals, how to share ect] they have to over reach a parents right to teach their own child how to view such issues, and at an age and time when the parent feels it is appropriate, not have some religious rulers throw a controversy in the face of innocent children.

  they seem to thrive on drama lately, just like all the media.
