  several years ago, i was introduced to a "wonderful" company called fortune hi tech marketing by a brother and his wife.

  they had been introduced by a former sheriff who claims he had researched the company and found no leins or judgments, and that former sheriff had been brought in by a pastor.

  you can read what happened with fhtm on wikipedia if you so desire.. this whole new idea of multilevel marketing had my brain reeling, though, and soon enough, i actually signed up with none other than prepaid legal.

  so the wife and i were uninvited to another jw get together which we didn't want to go to anyways.

  finally we find out that something on my facebook account is getting some people's in my old halls undies in a bunch.

  so i was thinking of meeting with them to at least clear my wife's name and give them some much needed hell.

  have the many jehovahs witnesses past and present who have lost their lives by refusing blood transfusions due to the prohibition on blood tranfusions by jehovahs witnesses really got the sense of this statement ?.

  Take a look at page 215 in the 'Organized to do Jehovah's Will' book.

  The Questions for baptism are found there:

  On the basis of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, have you repented of your sins and dedicated yourself to Jehovah to do his will?
  Do you understand that your dedication and baptism identify you as one of Jehovah's Witness in association with God's spirit-directed organization?

  So basically, we dedicated ourselves to the organisation that makes things up as needed for financial self preservation...

  If it was truly 'spirit-directed', there would be no mistakes or corrections needed. 'New Light' proves there was no direction. Their most recent admission proves they cannot be trusted.

  but why give them all the power?

  The physical effects of Cognitive Dissonance

  most of us here have gone through, or are going through the various stages "cognitive dissonance".. this is a term used to describe a situation where our minds, and hearts just know that something is "not quite right", and therefore we find ourselves in a muddle trying to reconcile the things we know with the things we are hearing or being told.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/cognitive_dissonance.

  so just wondering, how many of you found yourselves (or still find yourselves) becoming phyiscally ill in some way during the time of fading?.

  i know that when i look back, for several years even before i was awake to the many issues and facts about the society, i would feel ill at assemblies or conventions.

  Memorial observance screwery.

  had a thought about the memorial observance that is held at the kingdumb hall every year.

  there are a few youtube videos of people partaking of the bread and the wine and then making some grand speech before being escorted off the premises.

  instead of that, has anyone tried getting a group of buddies together and when receiving the bread or the wine, just eat or drink it all?

  I can think of all kinds of amazing things to do to unsuspecting JWs.
  I always come back to, 'why'?

  It's a wasting of time, the way I see it.
  

  Think back to how you would have reacted.
  I'd seen and heard many apostates before I'd awoken to TTATT.
  It had ZERO effect.

  How do you prove the watchtower organisation is not genuine using recent evidence?

  when i was a jobo, i would say that anything in jobo history, eg.

  miracle wheat, beth sarim et al (old light), wasn't worth considering as evidence that the wbt$ was a weirdo cult.. i think that's probably the jobo mindset now.. what would you show them from very recent lies teachings to encourage them to consider the possibility the wbt$ is a scam?.

  I found a list my Wife is makingof subjects i have told her about the BORG.

  so me and my wife have not been on speaking terms for about 5 weeks, and when we do .

  talk…it is arguing about the jw cult and more of a barrage from me telling here all the stuff i have learned.

  i know i shouldn't do this....but, i get so freaking p.o ed aobut what this cult has done to my family.

  I've been there and it isn't easy.

  It's time to find out if she intends to stay is this marriage.

  Based on her answer, you'll know how to proceed.

  With a list like that, it appears you have told her everything there is to be told about TTATT. ( I did the same ) She heard everything and is processing it. What she is planning is what you need to get to the bottom of.

  I was am am glad I made my stand. I wish I had done it earlier.

  My wife and I are still together and are doing fairly well.
  I've been out for three years and DF'd for one. We had our 2th wedding anniversary this year and I have made a serious effort to quit the anti-JW talk. It's very difficult to do, but it does make for a much more peaceful home environment.

  People talk about planting seeds.. We planted FARMS with our wives!
  See what grows, it may be nothing or she make awaken without notice.

  The more likely scenario is, 'she knows', but cannot face reality.
  Furious cognitive dissonance is too strong to overcome at the moment.

  Go easy and see what happens when you quit JW talk.
