Brooklyn news on sending the elderly packing

johnny the bethelite on this program talks about the older bethelites being targeted by watchtower.they are getting rid of those at bethel who are 65-87 years old, some being anointed even the widows of former governing body members who gave decades of loyal service time to the watchtower organization.. the reasons the very elderly are being expelled are money in that for their age range they cost so much to cloth, fed, and medicate, having problems from high blood pressure to dementia.

I will say this for an absolute fact:

Long time bethelite James Shamus, is no longer there.
He married a wealthy JW from my home town of Napa, Mary-Rose Selby.

She moved to bethel around twelve years ago. James "Jim", is well known for his voice and even live acting of Moses on the early JW videos on DVD before JW Broadcasting.

They fall into a very small minority of JWs that "serve"/live in luxury.

When the time came to leave bethel for them recently, (last 6-8 months ) what did they care? Their rental properties and business ventures in Napa have been making them money. In fact the JWs renting their house would have to go, so they could move right in. I know this, as I helped the JW family move out, right before I was DF'd...

I can show you the house near Foothill and Laurel on Google if you doubt my experience.

I have to think most elderly JWs haven't taken proper ( any ) retirement steps while in bethel. Most are going to be in big trouble as they find themselves living in poverty, getting government handouts.

Quite few from Napa have bethel ties, actually.
Mario Moreno ( WT lawyer ) visits here quite frequently.

I can't let go of this obsession...

i really want to let go of the exjw obsession.

but i can't.

i keep coming here and other sites several times a day.i want to shout from the rooftops to my family and friends and say, "it's all a lie!

I visit and post here very often.

Sometimes for over 8 hours at a time...

I keep up, as I have a dear wife and her family that I would love to see come out.

On the other hand, I don't want to be the one that exposes the lie. I'd much rather be here to comfort them after they find out by some other means.

I don't know if that makes sense?

Maybe it's time to mention to the kids that attending the meetings is "their choice".

They may quit right after you enlighten them on this reality.

No Sports Cars Please!

i read on a jw forum that jw's came in for disapproval if they drove either sports cars or 2-door cars.

the reasoning was that a driver couldn't easily take fellow dubbies out preaching in such a vehicle.

was that ever official policy or just local nonsense from a grumpy po?.

Before I left the JWs we had a nice Volvo.

Fast forward to last Feb, I'm out and gone from WT world.
The car was getting old so, I bought my wife a new daily driver. ( which she loves )

I have had sports cars ever since I was a teen.

I asked her how she liked the new song.
She said it made her cry and she loved it.

this is a rant mainly in response to my wife's reaction to the stupid clam meeting last night.

bear in mind, while i am not sexist, i am also not politically correct.

.... it is no secret that the women in this organization outnumber the men.

I told her I would not share anymore TTATT with her.

I answered my own question.
We have had over a week of very good days in a row.

hello people.. i'm tired and a bit sick at the moment but i can't let anyone think that this is going to go away.... i am able to tell you a few things in order to prevent any confusion in the minds of those who are thinking that nothing will come of this arc;that nothing will effect the wtbts in america and other places.. i have been there and given my testimony.

helen milroy and her assistants were there along with another group of people who are there to lend assistance if you crack up at any time during or after the hearing.

i did not crack up but can see how this happens.. security is tight and anonymity is sacred to them as they want to protect all who come forward.

What Was The Silliest "Offense" That You Were Counseled For?

when i was a teenager, i was told by an elder that because i smiled a lot and was known for my good sense of humor, that i should come across as "more serious".

so before i was appointed a ms, while in my late teens, i transformed myself into a much more "serious" brother.. were you ever told that you needed to work on something that you knew was stoopid?.

I was working the stage at the FF assembly hall in Ca.
The edge of the stage has a raised surface.
From anywhere in the auditorium it would very difficult to see anyone's shoes.

The CO gave me the boot, because my shoes were not shiny. ( nice black suede shoes ). I was dumb and went into the audience and traded shoes with a friend that had shiny ones...

Years later, when I was trying to figure out what I doing and how to escape "privileges" first and the cult second, I remembered how to get booted off the stage. I wore slacks and a sports coat instead of a suit. ( ooops! ) They never saw me again.

Either the money is funneling away to some controlling group that runs WT or they will use the money to fight the impossible to win legal battles.
