  Why remove John 8:1-11 in the NWT if these verses speak highly of Jesus

  i understand these verses were removed in the nwt as well as some other bibles because they were added later & considered uninspired.

  jesus protected an adultress so why remove it?

  it fits in nicely with his teachings, does it not?

  i approached them and said, i saw you guys on the news, there was a child abuse cover-up in philadelphia.

  NWT 1984 vs NWT 2013

  i recently had a discussion with a jw concerning a change in wording of a scripture - in fact this was my all time favourite scripture, namely, micah 6:8.. my view is that the wtbts have deliberately changed the wording and meaning of the said scripture.

  the other person is of the opinion that that is not the case.

  Receiving so much hate recently....

  well, as you all know, my wife (unstuck) and i are not df or da.. we just stopped attending several years back after my "apostate" online activity was found by a nosey employee of ours while she was working in our office (long story if anyone wants to know - it would have to be another thread).

  we never met with any elders - no congregation judicial activity occurred (as we would never consent to do so anyway).

  so our policy has been to be the same kind, loving, normal people we have always been.

  It seems that the ORG manipulated their/our minds to the point where we didn't have real relationships based on love or trust. It was an ILLUSION.

  i occasionally attend for family but never give any answers or actively participate in any way.

  Wouldn't it be fun to ask them point blank:
  " When did this organization have the truth?"
  
  1874, 194, 1918-19, 1925, 1975, 1999, 2014...
  When?

  I always get a kick out of:
  "Show me from the bible alone the overlapping generation concept..."
  
  Of course you will need to do what is necessary to maintain your life.

  Sorry about the way people treat you that are supposed to love their enemies.
  Gotta shout about how they are the 'true religion' because of the love amongst themselves.

  They'll never learn.
  You can't talk bad about everyone in 'the world' and expect them to be drawn to you.
  
  JWs repel people because of their cruel conduct and reputation.

  What happned to the Quick Builds

  so the qbs were huge in the 80s and 90s, now i hear nothing.

  I was just thinking about this today as well.
  
  The quick builds were all part of an elaborate scam.
  Free labor and in some cases free/reduced cost materials and in some instances, real estate.
  
  The everyday dub had a sense of 'ownership' or 'entitlement' towards the KH projects.
  Nope. Not even close to reality.
  
  Now WT is cashing in their chips and there is not damn thing you can do about it.
  It wasn't God's organization. It is a corporate publishing house turned real estate investment company disguised as a religion. ( for profit )

  I have likely worked on no fewer than 20 quick builds in Northern California from 1988- the early 2000s. All for the financial gain of WT. We were told it was a great witness to god, when is was in fact, just free labor...

  Why do so many that leave wind up coming back?!

  most do not live the average life of living in suburbs, raising a family.

  During my 25 year Dub Stint, I must have seen 20 people 'come back'.
  
  Lots do.
  Possible reasons:
  scared
  lonely
  guilty
  don't fit in elsewhere
  family
  
  Power through the pain, leaving is the best choice
