Need help understanding scriptues in Mathew. just trying to show my wife the BORG is soooo wrong

as you know i am still in but have no strong conviction for this cult..but i still go because my wife is still asleep to the false teachings.

for a few months now...when we have family study it is stricly from the bible.

which is great, while we study we are taking the bible as it is, i think it is opening her eyes and how important jesus is.

The WTBS teaches nothing unbiblical that I know of.

HOWEVER, it 1- Has some very goofy opinions (as it has always had) as to what some of the prophecies mean, and

2- Lacking details on how the first congregations were run, have established some rules that cause many problems, and often hurt others.

As EVERY one of us have many flaws, on Organization has many more.

Judge us JWs and the WTBS all you want, as you play Judge- but the Truth stands on it's own- and you will NOT find it in Churchianity....

Apostatea, and atheists, as well.

Yes- it begins with the ONLY credible explanation as to how life and all the matching ecosystems came into being. Genetics does not disprove the account of Noad. "Innocent children"? Think God should have whisked them somewhere? The other questions there is no known details regarding

HOWEVER, if you still SEE the Bible as truly inspired of God- then us JWs- faults, pretenders, and all- rewally are the only ones teaching what it REALLY teaches...even thoi a lot of oipinion is mixed in....and we are simply TRYING to live up to it.

Very interesting kalideoscope of views; I can relate a little to each- beliueve it or not!

The WTBS promotes a lot of goofy opinion as FACT (such as Jesus has RULED for 100 years!).

Many of the ancient biblical accounts SEEM like they may have been fabricated- until doing deep research and meditation.

One NEEDS to have faith in onself, as well as God- but NEVER rest our 'faith' on men.

And, unless you take a closer look at the speels evolutionary scientists give as they preach Evolution- it can seem VERY real when it is only modewrn Fairy Tale.

Justme- if your faith rested on the 'GB'- you have HAD no faith.

Truth is a seperate thing; we are simply trying to follow Jesdus example the best we can; but the world is FAR different and more complex than then!

1-I guess you missed where Jesus said to tell the VISION to no one. As well as the penalty for Adam & Eve's rebellion being DEATH, rathewr than living in a different form, as well as how Adam came to BE a soul- that no imaginary 'immortal soul' was put in him...And all the details from Genesis to Revelation showing that the dead -GASP!- are REALLY DEAD (not alive), and that a Day of Resurrection and Judgment is ahead....

2- Little detail is given as to what God has his messengers (angels) do.

3- Who rules is a lot of guesswork. The 12 Tribes in the Symbolic Vision we know as Revelation had 2 tribes that were NEVER REALLY TRIBES in the ORIGINAL nation. Jesus said it was not his plkace to choose who would rule with him- but his father's. We just have to wait and see.

We do know there will be some that will rule in heaven, that the rest will inherit the earth- and that MOST will remain dead- forever!
