  as you know, my husband has physically left the witnesses.

  he nevertheless clings to many of the beliefs like a protective cloak, and every once in a while i trigger a dissonant episode where my reality clashes with his.

  recently he listened in on my work research, a video of a futurist describing the a potential "disruptive change" event in the next fifteen years, as our culture shifts to autonomic (driverless) vehicles.

  Want to get JW friends' thoughts on their "new" preaching methods.

  the subject of jw.org and its tentacles reaching everywhere has already been discussed at length; however, jw kith and kin are going gangbusters on social media.

  i lost it when i saw da vinci's most famous lady wearing a jw.org button as a brooch.

  in hand, she had a tract, which i assumed had not yet been perused (she was distracted, apparently, while posing for the real master).. my dear and otherwise studious jws -- many very good at preaching and in human relations -- are obeying wt directives and just handing out the tracts in service and advertising up a storm on the internet.

  So the website really helps many.

  " What facts are those DH? You gave a list of excuses for the FACTS. My favorite is "To think crime is reducing is to be an idiot." You don't even try to provide a fact contrary to the statement above, you just plug your ears and say "yeah, well you're stupid" and run away."

  You're a funny little man.

  Even if a government "reduces" crime- it itself commits many crimes. Are you as stupid as you sound? There were so many fallacies in that graphic that I have no desire to post facts those like you would just deny.

  First, I will never give out tracts about a website.

  Second, it is not a new 'method'- just a temporary work with good intentions.

  Third, if YOU don't preach, you are a hypocrite for playing judge.

  Who stumbled who?

  don't have too many people at parties, be carefull about drinking alchohol, dancing, music,anything that can stumble another brother whether or not it is condemned in the bible the list is endless.. how is 100+ years of flip flops and constantly changing doctrine not been a stumbling block to brothers?.

  why Jehovah's witnesses? not yaweh witnesses?

  this i never understood, the publications say that gods name translated from hebrew is yaweh.

  why add a whole bunch of letters and vowels that change the sound of the name completely?

  i've often thought surely we would gain greater respect on the ministry if we used a name that is historically and verbally accurate?.

  Ministy School - Endless, without graduation - How could we?

  yesturday, i was talking to a friend and she said that in order to get a degree from a local college, they require a completed a public speaking course.

  i said that was no problem, because i had been in a public speaking school for 40 years.

  she looked at me like i had three heads.
