why Jehovah's witnesses? not yaweh witnesses?

this i never understood, the publications say that gods name translated from hebrew is yaweh.

why add a whole bunch of letters and vowels that change the sound of the name completely?

i've often thought surely we would gain greater respect on the ministry if we used a name that is historically and verbally accurate?.

One eyed says " If you want to extend the meaning of the word abstain to a complete avoidance of any use, then the WT's current blood policy is apostate, since it allows the use of fractions. Not to mention most vaccines, which I'm sure you've taken, are derived from blood in one way or another. To truely abstain from blood in every way, you need to stop vaccinating."

And, I agree- and don't take their view.

If one has come to know the ONLY true God and His son, and have faith in THEM- bad examples by org or JWs will NOT kill their faith.

If one has faith in MEN- it ALWAYS falls.

i've been having a bit of an email exchange with elder dad and i need some advice.

i thought i was getting through to him but i think my criticism and tone became a bit too strident in my last email and now he thinks that i am attacking him personally.

i think he has dismissed everything i said because he perceived me as 'overally critical, and rude.. .

That is NOIT the version of Creation in the Bible we hold to...

Need help understanding scriptues in Mathew. just trying to show my wife the BORG is soooo wrong

as you know i am still in but have no strong conviction for this cult..but i still go because my wife is still asleep to the false teachings.

for a few months now...when we have family study it is stricly from the bible.

which is great, while we study we are taking the bible as it is, i think it is opening her eyes and how important jesus is.

I read " Crisis of Conscience" years ago, underlining all the errors and simply LIES.

If you believe everyting it said, you are both gullible and know little of scripture.

I'm talking aboiut TRUTH.

They are two different things: The org tries to live up to the truth- and sometimes fails to do so.

i am preparing for my meeting this friday with miss k. we are reviewing the bible teach book, and she is looking forward to "showing me some things about the divine name.

" i don't know what she might pull out of her hat this time... but that section of the teach book is so completely assanine, i don't even know what to say.

To pretend that God's Name (which is part of the name "Jesus") is lost is asnine.

He said it (Yahweh/Jehovah) would be his name FOREVER.

Denial is futile.
