  THE GRAND APOSTATE "WALKOUT" - January 1, 2015

  after knowing ttatt for many years now...i had made up my mind long ago that after 2014, i would no-longer subject myself to the boredom, pain, and frustration of following this cult...the wt...the borg.. so...i made up my mind that since the wtbts/gb makes such a big deal as to the "significance" of the year 1914 and this year 2014, there can be no greater time for me to leave it all behind.

  i daydreamed of how awesome and telling it would be if everyone that could ( because i do know that some have personal circumstances of their own, as i did too) would just .... walkout...never to attend/step foot in a kingdom hall from that moment on.. independence day of sorts?

  there is too much evidence, too many videos, blogs, books, news reports and lawsuits for me to keep lying to myself.

  Within 6 weeks of finding out TTATT and having made plans for this summer to be our last convention we've simply stopped going now! Our circumstances allowed us to take this immediate step and were so glad we did. It's been around 5 weeks since our last meeting and we couldn't be happier. We feel a sense of freedom we could only have dreamt of before. We no longer have this sense of guilt and worry about day to day decisions. I hope this decision brings you all the happiness in the world RB

  Modern Morality .

  having recently been posting on a thread about ot moral values , which are not widely "appreciated " to say the least , i have been thinking about our modern morals about sex and reletionships , or more acurately the lack of any sexual morals todays .

  i don't think that we are better off as a society which has gone so far to the do want you want , with whom you want and when you want approach to sexual ethics as we have .

  i don't think that women are actually liberated by this attitude .

  i was baptized at the age of 11. like most of us, my commitment wasnt to honor god but rather i was gang pressed into the service of the wtbts.

  and, at such a young age, it was impossible for me to appreciate the enormity of my actions.

  honestly, how could i possibly have known any better?

  Elders pretty much do whatever they want!

  i've seen elders over the years openly flaunt "the rules", butt-kiss (the co especially), show favoritism and appoint brothers they like and not appoint brothers that should of been appointed for some trivial reason.

  many lord their "power" over the friends in blatant violation of scriptures and watchowers that specifically say that they shouldn't lord themselves over the flock.

  they pretty much do what they want!

  Totally agree!!!

  This is what happened to my older brother. He was reaching out to become an MS in our hall. He was meeting all the requirements but on occasion didn't quite make the 10 hr field service quota. Needless to say others with Elders as fathers got made up rather easily, some who i knew didn't reach more than maybe 5 hrs in service.

  This just keeps getting better...!!! One of many great examples i've seen on here to show they use the same material to denounce on the one hand and then to build their case on the other. The same is true of their 607 BCE doctrine...... bloody hypocrites!!!

  Cognitive Dissonance and my JW Mum!

  so, my mum is a massively obedient little dub!

  i knew this before showing more negativity towards the borg.

  i recently fell into the trap of shooting my mouth off about all the things that i felt were wrong with the borg, after her ass kissing comments got the better of me.. my other half's grandmother has also learned ttatt over the past few months as has most of her immediate familly in fact.

  gb member and so called "annointed" person geoffry jackson is caught red handed on video doing some worldly dancing and sexual gyrating (they have spoken against such manner of dancing on several occasions) with a woman who is not his wife!!!

  i can only imagine what they do off camera now!!!.

  i would not have even considerd doing such a thing on the dance floor with a woman, especially if it was not my wife, and i'm not even one of the so called "annointed" smh!!!

  Hi BM, my wife brought that arguement. She said why when EVERYONE is saying we are soooooooo close to the end do they need to build another bethel when they have a perfectly functioning one in London?

  Apparently it's because the UK is now supplying literature for all these different places and need more printing space. I didn't bother bashing my head against a brick wall by mentioning the sell off of numerous bethels around the globe which could easily be used to finance this build!

  She also happened to mention all the unrest in the world as proof of just how close we are. I said i'm sure it was the same during the cold war. What about the atrocities commited in the likes of Bosnia and surrounding countries. That was just as bad as what IS are getting up to now!

  @coded logic - i totally understand what your saying it's just frustrating because she's always been a know it all in everything, which has always ground my gears ;)
