  this makes me think of the highschool sweethearts i turned down that were worldly.

  now she gives me dirty looks whenever our eyes meet a the hall or at gatherings.

I feel bad but at the same time relieved that I prevented myself from being blinded by emotions.

  Not being married to a dub will make the process of leaving a lot easier.

  This AM3 guy is f***ing crazy, and the worst part is my family was nodding in agreement with this clown during the final talk.

  Do we know for sure what happens after death?

  quran says when we go we grt 72 virgins, unless we blow some people up.. .

  i'm not really concerned with death atm, i'm not dead.

  I'm not really concerned with death atm, I'm not dead. But being an atheist gives me an internal conflict.

  I want to have faith in god but I don't see any evidence that proves he exists. Neither do I see evidence that proves whether he is the god of Abraham (Yah-Weh) or the god of Muhammed (Allah).

  These documents written by people who lived millenniums ago were passed down and modified by others to produce whatever texts we have today.

  Can I really trust any of these documents? What if they were interpreted wrong?

  No one can prove these docs are correct without referring to those documents or to their own interpretations of those documents. If I ask the elders what they think they will just tell me to go read a WT or Awake article on Watchtower Liexists?

  Thinking about this makes my head feel like its about to explode.

  Will we know whether a higher being exists or not, once we die?

  Do we know what happens after death?

  Will we ever find out?

  i was publicly reproved last year and the elders have taken their sweet time in reinstating my "privileges".

  it's been six months and i can't answer at the meetings or participate in the theocratic ministry school.

  in all honesty- i don't care about the privileges.

  Scaredtospeak dont worry dude Im in the same shoes as you, Im 18 too. I am now in college desperately trying to grasp knowledge and master my major. Dont worry dude just put on a fake smile at the meetings and go with the flow. Once you're able to make it on your own pull the plug and RUN!

  The org uses "Emotional entrapment and manipulation" rather than factual substance....

  have you noticed just how much the org is now appealing to "emotions" rather than facts?.

  we used to be told that worshiping god has an element of emotion involved of course, but that the primary motivation should be logical truth.

  now though, they seem to be highlighting the "fluff" rather than the substance!.

  At the last regional convention I served as an attendant at Stanley Theater, and when they played the resurrection video a sister fainted. She was NOT small, so me and three other brothers had to carry her to the first aid booth in the lobby.

  The level of emotional control the GB has on people in the cult is unreal.

  After I skipped that Sunday meeting to avoid the elders, the next meeting on Tuesday evening one of em managed to grab me. I didnt want to make a scene, so eith a fake smile I explained to him what I said at home was a misunderstanding.

  He then said that it was okay and that what my mom said was no big deal. He told me the reason he wanted to talk to me was because the elders added my name to the list to read for the watchtower on sundays.

  They like my voice since its very deep. I'd always receive that compliment when I gave prayers,ministry school talks, and readings for the bookstudy.

  I already know that gods holy spirit isn't active in the org. If it was I wouldn't be getting priviledges. If god existed and directed this cult he'd know that I am an atheist. He also wouldn't allow a child molester in my hall to be appointed back to a MS again.

  Any thoughts guys?
