Sting Rays Being Slaughtered and Mutilated in Irwin backlash

at least 10 stingrays have been found dead and mutilated on australia's eastern coast since crocodile hunter steve irwin was killed by one of the animals last week.

the killings have prompted fears of "revenge attacks" against the normally docile fish.

over the last few months i have been training three different men for backup position of my job.. we are alone in my car all day.. as a jw, i remember one time, needing to go to another congo in a different town to work on a part at an assembly.

i was to ride with the brother doing the part.

he was probably at least 30+ years older than me.

ok i don't mean to copycat the other thread on movies, but it got me thinking.

i remember throwing out all my beloved beatle albums because they did drugs.

elton john was bad because he was gay.

AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Led Zeb (threw all the albums out), Santana he sang about a black magic woman, Blue Oyster Cult, Depeche Mode because of personal jesus, oh and some classical as well because these guys were possessed and some of the titles were dodgy. Nazareth, Kiss aka Knights in Satans Service, not sure if WBTS made that up or if it's for real

i wondered how many abandoned going to any kind of church.

or, if there are some who go to a church now.

was it weird at first to go?

Only been back in churches for weddings and funerals

I have no real "spiritual need" but if I need it then there are plenty of churches I can try.

Having to go to a king dum hall later this year for a wedding and I am getting nervous at the thought already

The reason behind shunning

when you think about it, when the elders disfellowship and then shun a person, it's to make an impact on the active ones still going to the meetings, rather than the df'd one.. they elders couldn't care less about the one who has been disfellowshipped.

that person is dead to their eyes.. the reason they make this so terrible, is a warning to the ones still active, not to try this.. some kind of blackmail, intended to the active ones.. .

My 5th anniversary today... No More Meetings

this is my official day... five years ago ... when i decided to no longer attend regular meetings.. so, .. my wife comes home from the meeting yesterday and says..."elder.______ says to say hi to you" ... as we were talking after the meeting.. (this is the guy who was at my house telling me i should go to another hall, as i was no longer welcome there.).

i wish i would have thought to say...you should have told him that : ... i was celebrating five years of not attending.!.

but i did'nt think of it till later last night.

hi everyone , pleased to be on the forum , been out the witnesses for 9 years this dec , used to be a reg pioneer attended pioneer school in feb 1990 at belmont road was min serv at age 18 when they changed age, ive come on the site to offer support to any witnesses or ex witnesses who are struggling in or out the org and to get support myself, was defoed for starting a relationship with a non witness woman .

lifes a journey , started reading the bible again without any org ties , finding it interesting ,
