  i had my circuit assembly last weekend.

  it was absolutely mind numbing, but i took extensive notes, and i thought i'd share the key points with everyone here for your reading pleasure.. .

  Thanks for the time and effort in putting this up it makes me glad I don't need to go. In fact it sounds just like the last CA I was at except at that one they had a big model of the dooms day clock which was like a minute from 12 or something

  this will probably apply to few here, but to me it'll always be that way.

  it's the what if syndrome maybe, but it's always there.

  i still think that as a core belief system the jw's have it right, even if their delivery isn't always right.

  I was thinking about this very topic last night before I came across this thread.

  I tend to mull over all the stuff I thought and was told and then think about all the stuff I have learned on the web and I think, there is no way they are right, how come a numb nuts like me can see it but 6 million can't??

  I don't think it will ever really go away but I put that down to not knowing anything else for 30 years. I just want to try and live a good life now and be happy is that too much to ask??

  so i just registered and i thought i should say something about myself instead of just lurking about.

  i'm 21 years old and i left the the jw's when i was 18. i was born into the religion so it's been really hard getting use to things.

  my story is pretty complicated and for some safety reasons i can't say to much.

  Another WTS Contradiction!!!

  just a thought that i had at a book study about two weeks ago when the chapter about why god permits suffering from the 'bible teach' book was being covered.

  in paragraphs 12 -14 the wts lays out this ridiculous arguement likening god to a teacher and satan as a student who is disrupting a class.

  the wts says that much like how a teacher might invite a rebellious and disruptive student to instruct the class so as to prove the student wrong....jehovah has allowed satan to operate for a time in order to prove that satan's way is wrong.

  Does the Pope have to apologize to the Muslims?

  i heard today that the muslims want the pope to apologize, and at the same time i have heard muslims say that even an apology would not be enough.

  a world leader of a country, has certain diplomatic concerns about what they say and do.

  however, does a religious leader have these same concerns?

  I do think the timing was bad even though what he said was years old and out of context. However christianity is not faultless either just look at the crusades have we said sorry for that?
