  Examples of injustice:
  1. God punnishes every human for the mistakes of two people.
  2. God lets Job suffer thru living hell and allows the deaths of his family simply to prove a point.
  3. God says he is going to destroy Soddom and Gomorah if 100 good people are not found. What if there were 99? Oops, tough shit for the 99 good people. He has to be convinced by a human to lower the number.
  4. God picks a nation of people to be his chosen, the rest of the world watch out. Even if you're a good person, if you're not the right race, you're screwed.

  Mav, just because it's in the Bible doesn't mean it's the thing to do.

  I think the JWs are their own cure. Reading things like the "CO = apostle" post, it seems to me like the WTBTS is continuing to grow more and more drunk with the power it possesses over it's subjects. I think that they will make more and more outlandish claims and that their predictions will become less and less vague, and therefore harder to explain away their failure. They are like a child, if you can get away with one thing, then try getting away with more. They have gotten away with so much madness in the past and in the present that soon they will be saying that the head of "The Society" is Jesus reincarnated and other things just as rediculous. Everybody has their own line. For those of us who left, they crossed that line. As they continue to seperate from reality and the obvious, more and more lines will be crossed. I predict that there will be a mass exodus before they even realize how bad they screwed up. By then it will be too late and too many EXJWs will be raising their voices for them to be able to stop the bleeding. Eventually they will be relegated to the status of a small, insignificant, and radical cult like Heaven's Gate with only a few die-hards too removed from reality to try and go back.

  yes its true!.

  we are nearing the time of year now when jws gather in their millions and display utter rejection of their saviour jesus christ.. this empty ritual known as the memorial, will be taking place around the world soon.. bread and wine will be passed before the eyes of each individual witness and 99.5 % of them will reject it.. why?

  We should all go to kingdom halls for the memorial and when the wine and bread is passed, we should all partake, lots. That would get JWs pretty stirred up. I would have a hard time keeping a straight face.

  " for the sake of my question, please forget that it came from a jw, after all most christians blame satan and/or adam & eve for bringing down the curse of age and death on humans.

  my question: why does god never get any of the blame for this?

  Island Woman, I am an agnostic and doubt very seriously the divine nature and origins of the Bible. My question is based on the shakey assumption that the Bible is to be believed.

  Thi Chi, your thought is another good thing for the devoutly religious to ponder. Though I'm sure neither of our observatios will free anyone from the opression of religion.

For the sake of my question, please forget that it came from a JW, after all most Christians blame Satan and/or Adam & Eve for bringing down the curse of age and death on humans. My question: Why does God never get any of the blame for this? Satan did not make humans grow old when they could have been eternaly youthful. He tempted Eve. Adam & Eve did not sentance billions and billions to disease and death. They ate fruit. Who punnished and entire species for something they had no control over? Who took from you and I and our parents and our children the dream of eternal disease-free youth and gave us instead aids, cancer, plague, arthritis, and death? God did this. God used his powers to impose this sentance on every man woman and child born through all time, save two. Where is his blame?

  with all i've been reading in the newspaper, i have yet to hear one mention of the a-10 warthog.

  this plane is extremely manuverable, highly survivable with tripple redundant systems all thru the plane, and packs a major punch with its nose cannon which the plane was built around.

  it would seem perfect for the small arms fighting going on right now.

It would seem perfect for the small arms fighting going on right now. Anyone know why it hasn't been deployed? Has it been taken out of service? Does it belong to a service which is not in theater? I wanna see some pics of a Warthog splattering AlQeda punks all over the mountain side, that plane is cool.
