Has anyone ever gotten disfellowshipped for going to University?
by SonoftheTrinity injehovah's witnesses claim no one is disfellowshipped for pursuing higher education.
somehow it seems there must be some halfwit sorry excuse for an elder somewhere who personally felt threatened by over educated young whippersnappers and decided to mark every nerd he could point his sweaty little finger with.

No one can be dfd for attending uni. When I was going to uni, I was told I can't be made MS but immediately I completed, they called me up for ms and when I said no, they didn't take it for an answer until I complied. Such bizarre reasoning. -

What is the point of the picture in this weeks study article ?

They mean we should be cherish service in the org because of the new headquarters project.
So silly.
I was shocked that in one of the paragraphs they say JWs should accept every explanation given without questioning because it is from Jehovah. How can people in the 21st century write something as stupid and non sensible as this. Oh I forgot about mind control.

The Watchtower Writers Blame the Rank-and-File For Failed Prophecy, Why so Evil the Writers/
by SanLuisObispoTruthSeeker inwho is to blame jehovahs witnesses and the bible students believing the end was coming in 1914?
ive been reading lots of older magazines and they are so different from todays watchtower!
the current writers from the organization blame everyone except themselves for failed expectations, failed prophecy, "financial ruin and dependance on the goverment "old age social security and medicaid" on their rank-and-file members.

The writers themselves are deeply indoctrinated and too mind controlled to see that what they are writing is bullshit.

Since learning TTATT
by Blackfalcon98 inso, i was reading combating cult mind control....and i was just thinking: since i've been doing research and learning about the false doctrines of the wtbs and others who are still asleep.
the more i accept that all is not right, the more i see the depression that many in the org.
are going through, the more i see the "human" side of things, the more i compare the average uber dub to the average mainstream christian.....the more i recognize how this cannot be jah's organazation.

This is how I'm feeling right now. Sometimes its just too hard listening to their propaganda but we just have to hang in there because of family. Many dubs don't have a clue the kind of influence they are in.
The time will come when we will make our decisions clear.

How I Found Jesus!
by berrygerry inby looking at cdn court cases.. i knew i would find him if i persisted.. there is clear evidence, in my view, that beginning some time, probably in early 2010, but perhaps earlier, that mr. jones developed a delusional disorder with a primary religious focus.
mr. jones accounting of the development of his belief that he is jesus christ, is consistent with the known development of psychotic disorders.
mr. jones describes a period of time where he felt that he had some greater purpose or was meant for something important although he was unable to really identify what that was.

How did you feel when you got baptised? Seriously....
by stuckinarut2 inso recently, several over-righteous ones in the cong were discussing "how amazing it felt when they got baptised".
statements like "how awesome did it feel as you got raised back out of the water?!".
or the classic "i felt so close to jehovah as i came out of the pool"!.

The best feeling was being underwater. Apart from that nothing soirtual dawned on me. Baptism made me feel too much guilt over petty mistakes I made
