There is nothing the org can do or say that will test my faith in Jehovah or Jesus...but the org has already done plenty to test my faith in them. Bring in on! AB
In response to another comment on this thread.
I realise that some of you are convinced that the amount of children abused in the KHs around the world is 'miniscule'. I, on the other hand, believe that the amount of children abused at the KHs is monstrous (not to mention all of the others bullied and abused by active JWs).
1. My sons were drugged and molested by an elder, and so was their best JW buddy, and the elder had been molesting and raping young brothers for 20 years previous to that.
2. In next congo in which I was a member, there was a JW pedophile (my husband and I were told this by an elder's wife). She also mentioned to us another pedo in the neighboring congo.
I consider that to be a great deal of abuse. And that's just the 3 congs I attended....what else is happening out there? All of this has not weakened my faith in God, but it sure has weakened my faith in humans.
Some day I believe that Jehovah will grab the org by the neck and shake it until all the abusers, riff-raff, bullies and evil is thrown out for the world to see. I think the tribulation will start from within.
Take Care,

How to Knock Nazi Elders off their high horse
by suavojr inthe borg has many inconsistencies, when the topic is helping humble and honest people achieve their full potential.
consider a working man who works 40 to 60 hours a week and still manages to show up to all the meetings, participate, do all of his assigned work within the kh, but his ministry has slipped to 8 hours per month.
this same man is working hard to move up within the ranks only to get shut down without even knowing.. .

I have had elders try to run me into the ground for years.
Because I was married to a non-JW and was a sister doing excellently, so were my children. ANd we really loved and believed in what we were doing. So a few of the elders thought they'd give me a hard time, and they did. They called the house, confronted me when I entered the KH, and generally harrassed me. NOT because I was doing badly, but because me and the kids were doing better than they were.
Eventually I was df'd ( I was never told why, but I'm sure it had something to do with me warning parents about the elder that molested my sons). And sheepishly, I felt I wasn't good enough, or I cried, and felt badly.
Finally, finally...with the help of God, I learned to put them in their place and they no longer have any any 'power' over me.
I tried to return for years, and met many Nazi elders. You will be surprised how cowardly the 'nazis' are when you look them in the eye and tell them to close the bible because they are not fit to read from it. The last 2 elders that paid me a visit, about a month ago, said "when you decide to return to Jehovah"....I stopped him before another word escaped from his mouth. I said, "I never left, you guys kicked me out, but I have never left Jehovah...and don't you dare read from the bible, you aren't fit to say His name". I am a very quiet and gentle person, but they have pushed me over the edge. I have been bullied by these guys for years (in many different congos), and now I bully back. I could tell you a million stories, and I am sorry this is so long.
IF this guy is an a$$, look him in the eye and say, "what's your problem, quit acting like an a$$hole!" I guarantee he will run crying. They aren't God, they are just nobodies like the rest of us.

I started watching the original 'Star Trek' when it started back in the 70's.
But my all-time favorite is the Star Trek movie, "Wrath of Kahn". Riccardo Montalban was great as Kahn.

Child sex abuse cases mentioned at weekly meeting?
by HeyThere inokay, tonight someone told me that one of the elders actually addressed the child sex abuse cases at the weeknight meeting this past week.
she said the speaker said that accusations are being made against the truth but that they should stand firm in the truth and that they are going to continue fighting these allegations and that all should stand firm for jehovah or some similar comments.... did anyone else hear this from the stage?.

Wow..... didn't hear that at our meeting! They will blame the victim, if they do mention it.
Anyway, Take Care,

I wish they's stop singing, "We". When my ex-husband (never a witness) and I were still married, he had cancer. I was an active JW then with 3 young children who were active JWs. I came home from the grocery store one day to find out my husband was in the hospital..I hurried there. The doc said my hubby would be dead in a week. I was devastated. My husband wanted to die at home, so I brought him home and took care of him. Not one Witness came to help or say hello, or even asked how we were doing. But the string quintet (all 'wordly people'), in which I was a violinist, came by each night for a week to bring us dinner. After that, the elder molested my son. Don't say "we will help", Jehovah is the one who helps. By the way, my hubby lived and has a great life with a new wife and a $700,000.00 new home, and my son is seeking help for his drug and alcohol addiction.
I am remarried, and very happy. I wouldn't go back to that time in my life for a billion bucks. It nearly killed me and gave me PTSD. Put that in a song.
Any, Take Care.

Ann...Thank you so much.... The reason I ask is that, I had told a JW about my son being molested by an elder, and she sent me the Pedophile piece he wrote... so I tried to find out who this person was, and I couldn't. Thanks, again, I really appreciate it.

"Disfellowshipping keeps the congregation safe. Faithful members are protected from the unwholesome influence of willful sinners and can go about their worship knowing that the congregation is a safe haven from this wicked world"
