If a person feels free to abuse and kill animals, he/she will have no problem, at some time, abusing or killing people. He needs help. Disfellowshipping is the least of your worries. Take care of your mom, find a way. He's sick.

Active posters: What education have you had, what degrees do you possess?
by EndofMysteries infrom so many posts and conversations on here, you'd think over 1/2 the posters here possess doctorates in theology, physics, biology, etc.
i'm curious aside from the books and research people have done here, what degrees they have.
to start, i just got an aa and going straight through full time to an mba.

Why attack?
by newqatarjob inas someone brought up as a jw and been an elder and been disfellowshipped (twice!!!
) i find it difficult to understand why ex jws have to attack the religion, yes religion, not cult or sect.
i am no longer disfellowshipped just do not want to practice anymore.

NewQatarJob .....Pain....that is the 'truth'. I loved and still do love the Witnesses...and I feel sorry for many of them because I know most of them are hurting in one way or the other. But the pain that was caused to me and my family has never gone away...and probably will never go away. My sons were molested by our trusted and beloved Elder 'family friend'. Their best buddy was drugged and raped by this same elder. He was removed as an elder but not df'd or reproved. I was DF'd for gossiping when I tried to warn parents in the Hall. This same elder worked with my husband and had smooth-talked and conned him so much, that my husband didn't believe my sons. I should hate them all, but I don't, because I still believe in Jehovah and Jesus and try to live by their example. I was a good person then, and I am a good person now, but according to the WT I am evil and already dead. Now....you tell me, after reading the posts, are the people here to attack the WT, or are they here to try to get help in making sense of everything that has happened to them. Sometimes I wish I had someone to talk to, but I don't. It's places like this, Silent Lambs and seeing a psychiatrist in the past that have helped me cope. You probably aren't reading this anyway though and that's ok. Have a good day, week, month and rest of your life.

I feel sick when I hear these reports...and Blondie, I am sorry you had to suffer. My family was devastated by an elder/pedophile 17 years ago....I wish I could forget the nightmare that started with that discovery. I feel for Candace...she's courageous, and I'm sure JWs put her through the ringer, cold and cruel as many of them are. I really don't know what else to say, because it's more than sad and sick.

Wow..... just plain wow! Great report. I feel so sorry for Candice, she has suffered so much. I hope this report helps others to come forward and expose their abusers. I'm sick of the WT destroying the victims and letting the perpetrators go free. I hope there will be more reports. Sad and sick.

Muddy Waters...thank you for your post. You know, you're past behavior toward your husband and others, it seems, was very much like the Watchtower's creation. But the woman you have become, sounds more like the bible's version of a good wife (t hat's a compliment, by the way :) .
