wow...i watched most of the colts vs. bucs game last night and i have to say that was possibly one of the best games i have seen in a long time.
3 touchdowns in 4 minutes!
and a wobbly field goal to win the game....it was a fun watch.. sincerely,.
God -^* Bucs blew a #*&$ 21-^%#&-point lead in $-@#$%*#&$( minutes and ^%#& got #@*#$&-#*&$^-ed in the end with that #&^$-@$$ referee's call to give that #*&$-stick Tony #&$%@ Dungy a #*&^$$ second chance to @#^@% us over again.

i grew up in the late 70's, early 80's.
i remember hearing the first rap song called 'rapper's delight' by the sugar hill gang.
then came kurtis blow and grand master flash and the furious five.
The society takes this stance with Rap...and Rock...and Jazz...and Sports...and Pokemon...and Smurfs...and MTV...and Paintball....and Video games...
They harp on just about every new think that comes down the pike that gets attention, especially of the young ones. Like most out of the youth loop, they don't get it. And while most parents allow their children to participate without doing much aside from rolling their eyes, The society uses their authority to clamp down on it. Easy to tell a kid he/she can't listen/play/watch when you have the FDS's authority.

I pick and choose with Moore. I love his outspokeness -- He, Ann Coulter and Noam Chomsky are why we have the First Amendment -- but he's also indicative of the segment of the left that refuses to work with us centrist liberals. He campaigned hard for Nader, and is partialy responsible for Bush being in the White House. He's a talent, but he'll have to explain his hand in helping the equally-loony far right into the Oval Office before he has licence to go after them again.

one thing which kept me trapped as a jw far longer than necessary was the fear that if i left and no longer believed, my life would be empty of meaning and futile and ultimately end in a meaningless death.
i could not find any meaning in the world apart from the view jws had imposed upon me... all other ways seemed to lead only to meaninglessness.. but once out and even without a belief in any god[s] i still found my life meaningful but it took several years before i understood my new source of meaning and now see it as the only valid source... i will explain this after i see some of your ideas as i do not wish to bias your answers in advance.
