  Devil's Advocate strikes again! When a tire wears out, where has all that rubber gone? You laid an inch of it down at the Dairy Queen parking lot peelin' out in your Firebird, dude! Whooooo! Who was the first person to dive into the ocean, pick up an oyster, go to the all the trouble of opening it and eat that slimy mucus-looking thing inside? And why? A starfish. It was hungry. If you're traveling the speed of light, and you turn your lights on, does anything happen? Light travel is impossible, but theoretically, yes: You lights will turn on. The most persistent person in the history of the world was the first one who actually succeeded in opening a coconut. That's not a question. Also false...The most persistent person in the history of the world is the one who counted the world's population. When they show shots of the astronauts doing a space walk, why aren't there any stars? Too many nearby light sources. I used to drive my teachers in school crazy asking stuff like this. My mind wanders easily and I think about things most normal people don't.I'm a teacher...Glad to help.

  	What should you do if you see an endangered animal eating an endangered plant? Take a picture! Do hyenas laugh even when they are being killed? Nope...saw it on PBS last night. You know when you are driving and you notice one shoe on the road... whatever happened to the other shoe? On the road? Do you even need to ask? If Barbie is so popular, why do you have to buy her friends? Dude, how do you think she got popular in the first place? How many times do you use a disposable razor? As many as it takes. Why do we tend to raise our shoulders when we're out in the rain? A reflex to keep our neck dry. And this is a good one......

  If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for? To ask questions that we answer. Bring on some more!

  Why do toasters always have a setting so high that could burn the
  toast to a horrible crisp, which no decent human being would eat? Ever see Spinal Tap? "Turn it up to 11..."

  I seem to recall a drama on the first district assembly I attended...they told how horrible higher education was and said that one of the characters who had gone to college "Had become a playwright," which was met with gasps by the characters...I wonder if this was him?

  the game "ghettopoly" is getting a lot of attention as a ghetto version of monopoly.. has anyone thought about a borg version of the game ?

  One for your sister...I'm sure this does no good, but remember the joy she brought. That's what she probably would have wanted you to do.

  My favorite uncle died the day I started college. Each new school year, I expect it to get a little easier, and it has little by little. He'd like what I did, I think.

  God gave people the common sense to ignore the zealotry of his less stable followers.

  The Koran has to be taken with a grain of salt. So does Dianetics, the Pentatuech, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, all of Paul's letters, TV Guide, The National Review, The Bridges of Madison County and the NHL Rulebook.

  People are smart enough, on their own, to strain out the camel and gulp down the odd gnat for the true theme of love, forgiveness, charity and brotherhood that religions (should) teach.

  well ive been studying with the jehovah witness for about 3 yrs now and im really thinking about making myself a publisher and i want to know is this website real and why are people talking about hiding their names what are they hiding it for shouldnt you be happy that youre studying with the jw and the jehovah called on you.

  and what's up with all the swearing havent you thought about keeping up good lanquage in case someone visits this site and see that and whats up with the half naked pictures of women whats really going on

  I'm a witness now, and come here to vent about a lot of the problems I see in the organization.

  Before you join up, read some of the news about Vicki Boer and the UN-NGO scandal. Ask yourself if their doctrines, which do sound good, can reconcile their callousness.

  Then try to bring up these topics when talking to a witness...see what they say and how the regard you afterward.

  If you do join, by all means keep a circle of friends on the outside. You'll need them again soon.
