  As I've said on the board before, I took my vow seriously and fought for them until the very end, even after having her drive a wedge between me and my parents, taking my son and cheating on me. Ladies, you're not going to find many men who will walk all over you like I will...

  I did all the work, especially in the last 3 years of the marriage, going to school full time. Let the reader use discernment as to who got the better deal.

  today is a lazy rainy sunday here.

  so i splurged and watched the first 6 episodes of last season's 24. costco had the whole first season on dvd for only $39.99 the other day, so i got it.

  that seems to me to be a bargain compared to some of the other shows on sale.

  BADGER'S JW ROOMIE: Ha, ha. No, the C.O.'s in town...

  BADGER: I'll alert the media.

  JW ROOMIE: He's a Bulldog, man. He'll get you for being inactive.

  BADGER: He didn't get my ex for sleeping around on me until her brother ratted her out.

  JW ROOMIE: He's having a mass JC meeting tomorrow at 3:00 p.m.

  BADGER: ...this concerns me how?

  JW ROOMIE: I went to see Sister Zaftig and her father had the list on his desk...

  BADGER: (suspensful, forboding music looms...BADGER gets serious, intense look) NAMES, BUDDY! I NEED NAMES!

  JW ROOMIE: (Now in split-screen shot): Oh, crap! Brother Gestapo just came to the apartment! just come to the meeting tonight...We'll get more there and set up something....

  Low Meeting Attendance Means Wrongdoing!

  did anyone ever come across the idea that meeting attendances were an indication of how much spirit jehovah was giving or witholding from the congregation?.

  ..and that this was directly related to whether or not there was any secret wrondoing within the congregation that was "blocking the spirit" and thereby restricting the "increase"?.

  Yup! When the crops are bad ya gotta make a human sacrafice to please to gawds!

  How true, Else. My home congregation is woefully sick and attendance is bottoming out. They've had to ask for help from a nearby cong. just to pay the basic bills. attendance is lowest it's been in years and lots of longtime brothers and sisters are dropping out. It's a purge, all right...and like Stalin's purge, they're losing their best and brightest.

  When a crash-test-dummy hits his head, and no engineers record the results, does he make a sound?

  "He" doesn't...being an inantimate object, a dummy has no gender (in English syntax, at least). But the Dummy itself does. Sound is audible vibration that could be detected by a present reciever. Yes...in a sense.

  Riddle me this, Tatgirl...

  If women's sports teams are named with the correct female form (i.e. Lions and Lionesses...Cowboys and Cowgirls), what would you call a girls' team if the boys were the Bulldogs?

  okay, and this weekend was extra grand because my new dance partner and i have quite hit it off ... his name is john.

  this weekend was the weekend that we decided to move the relationship to the next level, past the dance partnertm stage, and into the coupletm stage!

  dancing and wining and dining and wooing his way into my heart for the past couple of months.http://www.harrisonresort.com/ ) it rained most of the weekend and we did not seem to notice ... hmmmm.... it seems estee is officially part of a "couple" now .... *sigh* .

  The Teritary attack of the Devil's Advocate! How come Superman could stop bullets with his chest, but always ducked when someone threw a gun at him? The gun might hit his face! That's different.

  How do they get a deer to cross at the yellow road sign? For that matter, how do you get children to cross at their yellow sign? Plus, how do they know to strike that awesome "leaping" pose?

  How do you know when it is time to tune your bagpipes? Honey, when you have my luck with women, you "tune your bagpipes" daily.

  Where can you buy those little plastic ends to put on your shoe laces? at the shoe store...they come with free shoelaces!
