congregations want court order .
by jim mcbride.
jehovah's witnesses congregations in amarillo and dumas are seeking a court order protecting them from releasing documents in a lawsuit filed by a woman who claims a former church elder sexually abused her.
I think my downfall is beginning...
I was asked by an elder about abuse and what I would do, and answered,"As a teacher, I'm required to go to the autorities and follow district procedure."
"What about society procedure?"
"I think protecting children trumps that."
Stay tuned...
I haven't...
the news just came on with a "special report" and my husband looked at me and said, "uh oh what now??
" the newscaster came on.. "president bush in a operation that outdone the cia in secrecy..blah blah blah".
bottom line... the president flew into iraq to spend thanksgiving with the troops.
Stacy: I also heard the secret service had to intercept a pretzel bomber.
I hope to God that Bush uses that footage in his reelection campaign...and that Clark or Dean bust out his AWOL from the National Guard past. (or, in Clark's case, footage of Clark wearing a uniform with an EARNED rank.
in hockey that is.....
this is my concern as a mother in the sport...i have 2 boys that play hockey...one is a competive 12 year old player and the other, well, he know longer plays because of a hockey accident, that almost cost him his life a year ago..he is 15 years of age, but at the time of the accident, he was 13...to make a long story short, he was hit from behind and the other player broke 3 of his ribs and rupchurd his spleen....he was in the hospital for 2 very long weeks and transfered from one hospital to another via air lift....he is now almost back to a full recovery but is not aloud to play because of the body contact in the sport.
( doctor will not give him the ok to return yet and i dont feel right about it either)..when he started hockey, he was 9 years old...they had no body contact till he became a "a" player, which happened the following year...now, he was experencied in body checking by the time he played with the other kids.
12...that's when kids really start taking the games a little more seriously. That's also a good age when a lot of more competitive teams in other sports (soccer, football, baseball) become more widespread. Plus, boys are less likely to cry after a hit at that age.
What keeps me awake a night?
That Damned Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader saying she wants more.
i went to the 7th level.. the dante's inferno test has banished you to the seventh level of hell!.
here is how you matched up against all the levels:.
level | score.
I found this...I think Ted Jaracz is on his way here.
wt quotes will be in
it is under the guise of making them feel wanted but it is more likely a passive-aggressive means to show women what their place is and to stay there.. .
fear of god impelled two women to defy a pharaoh.
I echo Scully...I always though that Jael was my favorite MBOBS story, because she just wasn't another mom or wife. Plus, correct my lack of retention, but wasn't she a judge? What does that say about the Old Testament's reality of women in authority?
