apparently getting third place in new hampshire, he comes out for his speech at the same time kerry does.
not only is this a breech of protocol but it gaurantees he won't be seen by the majority of people until some time later.

Kids and meetings
by Stefanie ini remember when they would discourage kids from taking colors or coloring books to the meetings.
so i thought ok, i will give my kid a pen and my book of bible stories to keep him busy.
then they said that was a bad idea because he might write on the furniture and it wasnt good to teach them to write on the wbt publications.

My ex had a good idea...She cut out all sorts of pics from old magazines...a few bible scenes and a lot of famous buildings, animals, mountains, ships, etc. and made a picture book for our boy. I kept him pretty occupied and entertained.
I'm as entertaining as hell in class, and I can't get 17-year-olds to settle down for a 20-min. lecture. and the WTS expects a 2yo to do the same for 2 hours?

Dean and Clark are my faves...I agree on Kerry...He needs to be a battler.
I think that Dean Iis looking a lot like Al Smith did in the 20's...A fighter, controversial but good at riling up us stalwarts. He may not win, but he could set the stage for a revival of the left

FLAT TAX
by Yerusalyim inthe taxes filed thread got me to thinking....what say we here in the us go to a flat tax....18% for those who make over $35,000 a year...no deductions.

Sales Taxes by definition are regressive...a greater portion of the poor's money goes to buying everyday needs. The weathier classes are able to invest and save a great deal more....thus a larger portion of their income would be tax free.
We have a progressive tax in this country because the wealthier are better able to pay. A tax system without deductions would hamper individual actions that are in the best interests of the nation.

i suffered through the democratic debate on fox this evening.. this is the first time i've ever really paid attention to rep dennis kucinich...the guy's a total nut job...he has zero chance of getting the nomination...much less elected.. if lieberman had a personality...he'd be a threat...not only to the dem candidates, but maybe even to bush.. right now it looks like a kerry/edwards ticket...it'll be interesting.

Leiberman is as electable as Himmler. I still don't know what he stands for. I ain't budged....Clark, then Dean, Kerry if he promises to get tough against Bush.
Dennis is waaaaay out there, but I'm kinda pullin for him, ya know? The way you pull for a bad team during the season. You know they're not going to the playoffs...you just would like to see them do well. Like hoping Vanderbilt can beat Arkansas and go 5-7.

More to the point, That's what makes racism so ridiculous and reactionary here. In other countries, people can be excused for having misconceptions about other groups. The U.S., although majority Anglo-Saxon, is still infused with contributions from around the world.
