“Friday morning (October 2) [1914] we all were seated at the breakfast table when Russell came down. As he entered the room he hesitated a moment as was his custom and said cheerily, ‘Good morning all.’ But this morning, instead of proceeding to his seat as usual, he briskly clapped his hands and happily announced: ‘The Gentile times have ended; their kings have had their day.’ We all applauded.” – Faith on the March.
You know what would be really good is if we somehow coordinated a specific date, such as the nearest Sunday meeting after Thursday, January 1, 2015, which would be Sunday, January 4, 2015 (since everyone has that meeting on the same day), and also a specific time, such as immediately after the song which is at the beginning of that week’s Watchtower study (whatever time it’s held in each local congregation), at which precise time us folks on here who have been waiting for the opportune time to finally leave the WTS while making a public statement would all stand up and clap rhythmically in unison while walking out – for good! (I’m talking turbocharged fading, as in with the afterburners on full; or better yet, with the US Saturn V or Soviet N‑1 or Soyuz rocket engines at full thrust – I’m talking launch time to freedom! Yeah!!)
Let’s go out with a bit of a bang! After 100 years, I think we’re all due.
