is religion doing enough to root out abuse?.
he would go upstairs, on the premise that he was saying a prayer with his niece, then sexually abuse her.
mark sewell was sentenced to 14 years in prisonafterwards, the elders told her that as it was only her account against that of sewell, nothing more could be done.
“Joe Grundy”: “But a 'second witness' legally could include:
. . .
- Forensic evidence (DNA deposits, etc.)”
That reminds me of the scripture where God supposedly told Cain after he murdered his brother Abel: “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood is crying out to me from the ground.” (Genesis 4:10, RNWT) A victim is able to provide evidence in more ways than one. Yes, the truth comes out – one way or another!
i just found this website and im so glad because for the first time in a long time i dont feel alone...i am a born in and in the last two years have been struggling because i thought that i was the problem and i was the reason for not feeling any love from and for the other pubs .i want to leave the org but have no idea how to tell my mother(who is a faithful jw).
I’m in basically the same situation, but for a very long time. I too am a born-in/stuck-in. Right now I’m actually living with my folks, even though I just turned 49 this month. I’m out of work, on disability, and in some financial debt. So, I too know about having to hang in there.
I find that one has to just take life one day at a time (oh, and I’m also a recovering alcoholic). Just do whatever you can each day to move toward your goal of financial independence, and, at the same time, make sure you have simple joys and pleasures each day to focus on for happiness and serenity. You need to have some practical and attainable game plan to gradually yet surely edge toward the fulfillment of your ideal situation, or at least as close to it as you can get – but don’t forget to stop and smell the roses along the way.
if you were at the watchtower how many times did you hear this idiotic condescending word?
i think i must have heard it 500 times.
the learner.
could someone do me a favor and post the picture on page 9 on the above mentioned watchtower.. i'll point it out, very surprised no one else has picked up on this creepy image..
TO: “campaign of hate”
The picture is supposedly about Elijah miraculously parting the Jordan river to allow him and his protegé, Elisha, to cross on dry land.
As for any naked men depicted as such within the artwork, I would say: put the hash pipe down, abstain from LSD/“magic” mushrooms, pop your head out of your ass, and actually read the article enough to understand its basic message – and then make an attempt at deciphering any subliminal intent of the artwork. I mean, really!
on a number of threads i have seen it mentioned that the jw scam "religion" approves the use of hemopure.. is this in print anywhere please ?.
this photo can be found in the april 15 , study edition article titled:.
why disfellowshipping is a loving provision.
just by looking at this image we can see how quickly the barrier between the congregation and former member is put up, after the announcement that this sister is no longer one of jehovah's witneses.
“OrphanCrow”: “If someone sees a cross in the image, or whatever else they see, they should state what it is they see, what it means to them and why.”
True. And that is precisely what Charles Taze Russell did in his unique interpretation of the measurements of the great pyramid of Giza. Now, that fellow sure had a vivid imagination! His musings regarding the number of steps in the inner chamber of that pyramid were, in his mind, conclusive “evidence” for his end-times eschatology. Now that was one fellow who could keep a psychiatrist busy with the old Rorschach inkblot test.
this is how i look at the regional conventions with the video monitors.
same crappy content just a little different delivery.

“millie210”: “Is there any record of anyone getting stoned to death other than in the Bible?”
Actually, yes. ISIS.
last evening, i saw the 1981 movie called ticket to heaven with my longtime and longstanding elder dad and my mom last night.
(they are now in their late 70s.
) afterward, i showed them the softcover book by steven hassan called releasing the bonds, which they found rather interesting.
Last evening, I saw the 1981 movie called “Ticket to Heaven” with my longtime and longstanding elder dad and my mom last night. (They are now in their late 70’s.) Afterward, I showed them the softcover book by Steven Hassan called “Releasing the Bonds,” which they found rather interesting. (That was actually the third of his books I have read. I have also read all the books by Raymond Franz, M. James Penton, Carl Olof Johnsson, and William J. Schnell.) My teacher actually showed this movie on an old film projector in a high school course called “Man In Society” around grade ten.
Here is a link to the description of the movie:

I’m hoping that through the material I’ve been showing them, I will be able to at least provide them with some objective insight regarding people’s vulnerability of being unduly influenced by various cults. Unfortunately, in my case, I realize the impossibility of making my parents “see the light” regarding the WT outfit with which they have been involved for so very much of their lives. However, at the very least I will be further laying the groundwork for general understanding when the time comes for me to follow through with my fade to a complete conclusion.
The way I look at it, every little bit helps toward my total mental, physical, and spiritual independence. Whatever progress I can attain in making my parents become aware of TTATT is really just icing on the cake.
