as i have come to see i have way more friends at school than my kingdom hall but if i get asked about school and i say something about my friends or ask to hang out with my friends to my aunt she gives me a talk about not to like worldly people to much.. for example i ask to go to my friends house (that is a girl)i have known her from 1st grade and my aunt gets mad at me saying what if she says i raped her or something but she lets me go by my self with brothers to hang out if i want but theres a chance i will get raped there to.. read my other posts to understand my story .

When I was about eight years old, our neighbour’s girl of around the same age (eight) used to show me her private parts, purely of her own volition. She actually initiated wanting me to investigate such parts of hers manually. But, believe it or not, it was completely “innocent” (as per both our ages).
As a matter of fact, afterward I asked my mother how the seeds (genetic material) get from the male to the female. . . . . Boy, was I clueless! (And what a wasted opportunity.)
i have noticed another popular pattern of behaviour amongst witnesses in recent years.. many, and i mean lots of ones with instagram accounts have closed the wife's account, and have started a "couple's" account instead.
also, for families.
the children's accounts have been closed, and the husband starts a "family account".. it is mainly on the husband's device, and seemingly under his control.
Another fine example of the “headship principle” so passionately embraced by the WT leadership.

Any little bit that gets out there to cause the public to be aware of the basic destructiveness, antisociality, invalidity, and dishonesty of the very man-made, self-serving “religion” of the Watch Tower organization is a triumph for truth (real truth) in exposing a group which has coerced and manipulated people into unnecessary bondage and servitude, and even deaths.
Just one minute of such media exposure can end up negating many hours of pounding the pavement knocking on doors in the circus-like show of loyalty of the Watch Tower’s well-meaning but deceived lowly dupes.
In this modern technological age, such archaic outfits will always have to contend with the powerful and all-pervasive light of public scrutiny. And, as they say, Thank God for that!

Isn’t it stupidly ridiculous that a youngster, or legal minor, could actually end up being disfellowshipped and shunned by their own family just for attending a birthday party, throwing rice at a wedding, clinking glasses, saying “good luck,” etc., etc. . . . . And yet the so-called mature elder who raped the sh^t out of him/her whilst no other witnesses were present might actually not get either disfellowshipped, removed, or reproved and might very well be giving a Sunday talk at a congregation near you (or maybe even the annual Memorial talk, for Christ’s sake!).

So, inserting it into the Old (Hebrew) Testament in the New World Translation is one thing, but I think what people would really take exception to is the fact that the New World Translation has arbitrarily inserted it into the New (Greek) Testament 237 times! Obviously no one alive in the first century would possibly have heard about this new name “Jehovah,” a Catholic invention, which is really a Latin transliteration.
Furthermore, the monotonous duplication of the footnote for every occurrence of pronouns such as “he,” “him,” “them,” and “they” stating that it supposedly means “his” soul, “their” souls, etc. It looks quite cultic the way they hammer that point in such ridiculous repetition.

A skeptics meeting like that is excellent for anybody to attend to learn and understand the merits of objective critical thinking and investigation!
If everyone went to that regional convention before going to the JW regional convention afterward, I would suspect that there would end up being hardly anyone attending the JW convention after attending the skeptics convention.
Although skeptical, critical reasoning events are certainly very good in a general sense, I think that people affected by a specific exposure to non-critical thinking outfits such as the JWs should still seek out and attend meeting groups specifically tailored and relevant to that particular shared experience; i.e., meet-ups and “apostafests” with former or questioning JWs. Us folks with that very specific background need all the camaraderie and support we can find!

as a jw i would have definitely answered "yes", followed by the typical "he allows suffering, but doesn't cause it", or perhaps the "he has created us to enjoy life and wants us to be happy" mumbo jumbo.

Boy, I can relate to that! My dad has scared me about sinning against the holy spirit (thus my user name) since I was about eight years old. My dad would keep telling me: “Wait until Armageddon. Then you’ll really be shaking in your boots!”
Between that and those disgustingly horrible sketches in the big old orange-coloured book “From Paradise Lost to Paradise Regained” depicting even little children and their pet cats falling into scary-looking abysses opening up in the earth, I can certainly now see how that is the worst kind of child abuse, or soul raping, of those most vulnerable.
