It never ceases to amaze me that the WTS is so absolutely convinced that it was specifically chosen as the one-and-only true mouthpiece for Almighty God and His son, Jesus Christ, by 1919 for standing out as being spiritually “clean” (or “pure”), apparently having already been “refined” (compared to the process of smelting rare, precious metals), when everything has continued to be turned upside-down and inside-out for all that time up until now. Hard to imagine that this is the unfailing work of the perfect Creator of the universe!

Amazing how much clarity one can get simply by removing the special Cracker Jack WT glasses.

Funny, but I don’t recall reading any article in the Watchtower or Awake! magazine about this “Iglesia ni Cristo” religion. Perhaps the WTS wouldn’t want to write an article about a religion that is so similar to the JWs just in case some people might begin to see the parallel and connect the dots. (Some might think that Jesus’ selection of his “true” organization wound up resulting in a tie.)

the wbats and their gb have done some major pr damage control with the "old" new light of the overlapping generation in 2010, and the recent new light of the fds arrangement in 2013, it has helped stave off some of their bleeding.

i can remember at the time when it was first announced it went completely over my head, i didn't even bat an eye or loose a step.

i just didn't understand at the time (not completely understanding jw doctrine and chronology, and just what the jw cult leadership bets on for the rank and file when releasing new light) how critical of a so-called "adjustment" that was, until several years later and being able to finally see some old light through research and connecting the dots.

I think that today’s Watchtower study, which is about not questioning the Governing Body and not daring to listen to “apostates,” is really part of the WTS’ effort to keep people in line through fear in the hopes that there won’t be too much of a mass exodus of their followers if – I mean, when – the big, bad “great tribulation” doesn’t start happening (peace and security, fall of Babylon the Great, blah, blah) by the end of this year of 2014.

I can almost feel them trying to do some fancy footwork in anticipation of this inevitable reality for them, which will no doubt require some more of that damage control (perhaps some more “new light”). They will have to do some kind of new maneuvering in order to hold on to their flock of googly-eyed sheep, many of whom might just be starting to check things out online even at this very moment. This year might prove to be another little bump in the old dog-and-pony show tour.

while you are sitting there reading this, there are literally hundreds of thousands of young males and females all over the world [ mostly in america / canada and england] sitting in their grotty little smelly bedrooms or flats, designing computer viruses that they will up-load onto web-sites to cause anonymous innocent peoples computers to malfunction.

these creeps spend literally weeks,months or even years hoping to make a computer viruses that will get into peoples computer bios to completely destroy their computers.

they never see the peoples anger, frustration and distress.... the damage can cost each person about 1,000 [ $1,660.74 ] or more to replace a basic new laptop or tower.

Well, . . . . what about the leaders (dictators) of a religious organization/corporation who have been not only encouraging but ordering – yes, demanding – its members to deny themselves and their children – even their innocent young babies – life-saving blood transfusions in a medical emergency, which has caused tragic and needless deaths in the thousands, all because of an arbitrary rule based on an illogical and nonsensical interpretation, promulgated by Hayden Covington, Nathan Knorr, and Frederick Franz – which was really more of a publicity stunt and a control mechanism than a sincere and conscientious effort to follow the essence the teachings of Jesus Christ, who I’m sure would be quite appalled at this. (If it was so important, then why did the Watchtower Society wait until 1961 to make it a disfellowshipping offence?) That’s actually quite a significant amount deaths. What about all that “innocent blood on their hands” – the hands of the Watchtower Society?

Not to mention all the needless deaths from the period when the Watchtower Society banned all organ transplants. What about that?

And what about all the depression and suicides from the trauma of those who had needlessly been sent to prisons – sometimes having even been physically raped there – from the period when the Watchtower Society banned all alternative military service?

And what about all the depression and suicides by those who have had their entire families ripped away from them because of the strict disfellowshipping/shunning policy? That’s really a lot of blood.

Who the hell made you the dictator of what married couples do in their own bedroom? And what business is it of yours anyway?

As for “stumbling blocks,” what about all those people who have been severely stumbled by the Watchtower Society’s constantly flip-flopping teachings and policies? People who have been lied to by arrogant leaders, who have given them significant “bum steers” and brushed it all off without so much as a simple and honest apology?

“Just before Armageddon several things are going to happen,one being that the King of the South [ America/England] will attack the King of the North [Russia] or vise versa.”

Or vise versa? Well, which is it? And does the “spirit-directed” Governing Body even know who the kings of the north and south even are?

Well, why don’t you bother looking at the Watchtower’s own literature, which actually mentions that the name “Jehovah” was the invention of a Spanish Dominican Monk, Raymundus Martini, in his book Pugeo Fidei, published in 1270 C.E.? This was printed in The Watchtower, Feb. 1, 1980, p. 11, ¶2. Read it!

“. . . one brother asked a young apostate on here : " So now where do I go.. where do I turn.. I still believe in God?" The cold answer was: " Why can't you just accept that theres no God. We are just like flowers; we grow-up,bloom in our prime,spread our seed to reproduce,then shrivel-up in old age and die, that's it Dude..! ".”

Simply dying and no longer existing actually sounds a heck of a lot more appealing to me than living “forever” on an earth ruled exclusively by such a cruel Orwellian dictatorship as the Watchtower!

So, us “apostates” (former Watchtower members) are evil? Terrorists? Well, quite frankly, considering all the suffering and deaths that the Watchtower Society has caused worldwide over all these years, I would say that the Watchtower is at the very least extremist!

And you, “Sparks” (whoever you are) – from what you have been posting here, you have advertised publically that you are indeed a very ignorant and hateful person. You know, it’s funny that the people who are duped and blinded the most are the ones least likely to realize that they are. Now, get your head out of your ass, take that self-righteous ‘rafter out of your own eye’ (Matthew 7:5), read Matthew chapter 23 regarding “the scribes and the Pharisees,” and then go repent before our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. You twit.

Have you had a crisis of concience?

my little boy has decided he wants to be a vegetarian and has been for over a year now.

i fully accepted and supported this.. my view however is no matter what you eat or how you eat it ....beings will die for you to eat.. i have noticed where we live we have the terms " free range" and " ecological".

if affordable i am sure most peoples preferrd option for their own health and the conditions of the animals.. i would say everyone has the right to eat what they want within reason.

One “crisis of conscience” I have regarding humans eating animals is the way in which people deliberately and callously choose to treat them, causing them unnecessary suffering in the way they are kept, handled, and slaughtered. The thing that really gets me upset and mad is the use of agonizingly painful anal electrocution done on foxes and minks on these “fur farms” – not for them to be eaten, but, rather, just for their fur. This is absolutely despicable, heinous, and simply intolerable, because it’s a totally unnecessary method of slaughter. It is done just to avoid any kind of “damage” to the fur. So, those people would rather put the poor creatures through that than poke a tiny hole in the fur with a needle to administer a more humane method. Or, they could simply asphyxiate them using some lethal but painless gas – which would also still keep the fur totally pristine. But, no. They just couldn’t be bothered. (People like that are lower than any pile of shit.)

The other “crisis of conscience” I have is the nature of life wherein animals are hardwired to savagely and cruelly attack and eat each other, with some animals eating members of its own species, sometimes even their own offspring, just to survive their harsh and seemingly meaningless existence. I am disturbed and appalled by the constant savagery in the entire animal kingdom, where sensitive biological beings always have to suffer fear and anxiety about being terrorized and painfully attacked, often horrifically being eaten alive. Not to mention all the competition and fighting over space, food, and mates. (Ever seen footage of large herds of elephant seals or walruses jabbing each other with those long, sharp tusks, causing painful and bloody gashes, which are subject to agonizing infection? Ouch!) There are so many nature documentaries showing all this pain, aggression, struggling, and suffering. It seems that the basic nature of biological existence is, Eat and be eaten. That is another reason which convinces me that there really is no “god,” at least in the sense of a “deity” which most people think of. (I’m now an agnostic.) And I’m glad. Because if there was a magical “god,” such as Jehovah, then he/she/it must be quite the asshole, when you really think of it.

That would come across as being quite condescending and insulting to any woman, I would think. The WTS likes to put women on the same level as children (more like chattel, or property), and certainly even lower than any baptized male children, no matter how young they are. I don’t think that anybody really goes for that nowadays, male or female. (I certainly don’t, and I’m a man. I strongly believe in equality and fairness.) I mean, deep down, everyone knows that it’s old stereotypical BS. All I can say is, wake up to the 20th – actually, now 21st – century!

a five-year-old boy with a brain tumour has been taken without consent from hospital by his parents, sparking a major police hunt for the family.. ashya king was taken from southampton general hospital and is now believed to be in france with his parents and six siblings.. police said he needs constant medical care and there are "serious concerns" for his life if he is not found today.. brett king, 51, and naghemeh king, 45 removed him from the ward on thursday.. ashya's father was pictured taking him from the hospital"everyone is sending their love now.

This is certainly a very difficult and delicate situation, from many angles. I sure hope that this little boy, Ashya King, gets an effective treatment within the time he has. That, of course, is the important thing.

Also, regardless of what the outcome may be in this case, perhaps, if nothing else, this situation which is now in the public eye will give all the more impetus for the governmental, scientific, and medical communities to work together to develop, refine, and expand the new proton beam therapy in the most timely manner possible. This new therapy seems to have promising potential in the near future to improve the care in treating perhaps many different types of cancer. Let’s hope! Any progress that can be made in understanding, treating, and, hopefully soon, eradicating this horrible disease is welcome news, to be sure.

The GB has always been perpetuating with a passion the attitude toward women so embodied by Franklin Rutherford, as shown by his infamous statement, “What is a woman anyway, but a hank of hair and a bag of bones.” (Him and his predecessor, Charles Taze Russell, were not exactly a catch for any woman. Those two were about as romantically and sexually satisfying to a woman as a pair of crutches made out of gummy worms would be practical.)

The very purpose of this misogynist scheme is really to reinforce the WTS’ authoritarian “headship principle,” with Jehovah – I mean, the GB/Watchtower – at the very top, and then downward to baptized male children – I mean, the family dog – and then women (at the very bottom, of course).

In all seriousness, though, women may have on average a ten percent smaller brain size, head size, and cranial capacity; HOWEVER, brain density and white matter versus gray matter usage, as well as individual IQ, are better indicators of women’s overall thinking abilities, all of which being in their favor!

It is such a well-known and accepted fact for some time now that women basically have the same mental abilities as men. As we can readily see, woman have been functioning quite well in the business and political world, and have more than adequately proven their abilities in this world in general, if given half a decent chance, . . . . which, unfortunately, is something that still doesn’t look too hopeful in the world of Allah or Jehovah.

Are Congregation Picnics still forbidden? If so, Why???

Talking about “liability,” you would think that the WTS should be far more concerned about the liabilities of their strictly-enforced policies regarding blood transfusions (kids and babies dead), shunning (severe depression and anxiety, leading to mental illness and even suicides), protecting pedophiles (while threatening and expelling innocent victims), etc., etc. Now, that would be a liability, you would think! Much more so than any little normal social get-together like barbecues and beach parties.
