I hope that discerning readers will notice that Adam and I have nothing in else common.
I have noticed. I stopped reading Adam's posts after the first few.
yesterday evening my wife and i were invited to friends house for new year's eve.
we met them when i was a christian and we have kept in touch.
they had a few other friends there as well, including the new church pastor and his wife.

My apologies to Glad. I was confusing this with a different thread authored by another poster. It's easy to get the athiest vs thiest threads confused once they get pages away from the OP.

Glad, I didn't think of you as one to poke fun at this kind of thread topic or its author. Did someone knock you out and commandeer your computer? You're generally more effective with your posts because you usually treat posters in a respectful way.
only rational thoughts are accessible to rational arguments.
once the category of "god" is established in your mind (usually at an early, impressionable age) you can't ever close the file.. it is unassailable.. why?because it becomes rooted before you develop rational thinking skills.. categories of ghosts, devils, superstitions hold true as well.. what you can do (since they cannot be removed) is modify your emotional reactions connected to these concepts.. what are emotions?
they are signals (like beacons) informing you of the importance of your values.. the most deeply-rooted values signal the strongest emotional responses.. what you perceive to be a threat signals fear.
Rational is relative.

You can peak at the profiles without paying. I think there are like 90 men for every 3 women.
