my wife and i just got home from the gym and there were 2 jw's at our door.

i couldn't help myself....i felt rage building up inside but i tried to play it cool.

just coming off the ne apostafest and hearing everyones story just pissed me off when i saw those two dubs standing there.

i hear it when i see the faults in others, and condemn myself for any minor infraction.

it is my mothers voice.. i dont know exactly when she got into my head, but it is clearly her voice and judging that i hear.

she condemns me for the dirty dishes, the skirt that is too short or the blouse that is too low.

I hear her voice, is that how I taught you to fold towell, sheets, etc.? You're feeding that to your children? On and on, I hear her voice in my head. Of course, I hear my Dad's voice too. What the hell were you thinking young lady? Or I hear it when I see others doing something unthinkable.

I think it's a curse they gave us. We get to pass this on to our children. I know I hear my mother's voice coming out of my own mouth sometimes too.

Inappropriate "shepherding" calls.

how many have recieved calls by the elders that were under the guise of "shepherding", but somehow inappropriate, i.e, you were a woman alone with only one elder showing up, or you felt physically intimidated by both.

or say they show up at like, 10:30 at night for a shepherding call.

and you say "hey, i appreciate the visit but please call first!

They have never come to me. Came to my Mom once. Never to my brother. I am going outside to thank my lucky stars now. :-)

Ever got stung or bitten by animals?

did you ever get attacked by nasties from the animal world?

that includes getting stung by bees, wasps, spiders, scorpions, medusas, poisonous fish etc .

or perhaps suffered a snake bite, heavens forbid, or bites from dogs, lions, bears etc

it is really sad and shocking that the court did not rule in the girls favor.

Can someone hummor me please. There is a part that states:Elders were barred by the Religious Privilege from disclosing any of the allegations or admissions to anyone and thus no duty to report the allegations could have arisen.

What religious privlege? Is that like a priest hearing confession? Aren't the elders different than other clergy? I mean, that's what they claim. How can they use this if they are so proud of the fact that they are different?

If that's not what it means, can someone explain it to me, please.

The WTS destructive image of God.

after leaving the jws did you alter that severe, unsmiling, exacting, unforgiving ie destructive image of god that the wts was projecting very much in the spirit of the old testament?

The jw god is indeed very cruel if he was to kill off for ever children for their parents fault as the WTS claims.

Here's where I get all twisted up. If he did that in Noah's day, why wont he do it now? I am not in the "ark" of the society, so I am going to drown. (yes, I know, there wont be a flood again like that, but I think you know what I mean) So what would keep him from killing me in the next annihilation of his?

I don't know if any else feels like this. I'm telling you, sometimes I feel very messed up in the head. Like I am treading water, and I'm not going to the shore, but slowly drowning here emotionally. Hope I am making sense here.

The other guilt was I was still programmed to not "bring reproach on Jehover's Name"... this is the only reason I chose not to kill myself. Sadly ironic.

I'm sorry you were that depressed, but I am glad you are here now.

I can't agree more with what has been posted. You are either leaving Jehovah, or you're condemning your children to death. Or if you lost a child, denying them the opportunity to be resurrected.

When I talk about the society to my Mom, she says, don't talk against my god. I tell her, I'm not talking about god, I'm talking about the society. She believes that they are one and the same sometimes. (other times, she will disagree with a "new light", but that's ok.)
