I drove from New Jersey to Florida. (Disney) I had six children, and my Mother with me. Then we drove home a week later. Best trip ever. We stopped at every tourist trap on the way. Went thru Daytona on Spring Break. My teen age boys loved it. LOL

Color test Quiz

my results below .
your existing situationhaving difficulty making progress and unwilling to put forth further effort.

Your Existing Situation
- Volatile and outgoing. Needs to feel that events are developing along desired lines, otherwise irritation can lead to changeability or superficial activities.
Your Stress Sources
- Has lost the resilience and strength of will necessary to contend with existing difficulties. Feels overtaxed and getting nowhere, but continues to stand her ground and still pursues her objectives with a fierce intensity. This subjects her to intolerable pressure from which she wants to escape, but she cannot bring herself to make the necessary decision. As a result she remains firmly involved in the problem and can neither view it objectively nor get rid of it--he cannot leave it alone and feels she will only be at peace when she has reached her objective.
Your Restrained Characteristics
- Feels rather isolated and alone, but is too reserved to allow herself to form deep attachments. Egocentric and therefore quick to take offense.
Circumstances are forcing her to compromise, to restrain her demands and hopes, and to forgo for the time being some of the things she wants.
Your Desired Objective
- Seeks freedom from problems and a secure state of physical ease in which to relax and recover.
Your Actual Problem
- The fear that she might be prevented from achieving the things she wants increases her need for security and freedom from conflict. Is therefore seeking stability and an environment in which she can relax.
Your Actual Problem #2
- The tensions induced by trying to cope with conditions which are really beyond her capabilities, or reserves of strength, have led to considerable anxiety and a sense of personal (but unadmitted) inadequacy. She attempts to escape from this into a stable and secure environment in which she can relax and recover, free from any further demands on him.

Any one else deal with this?
by Momofmany ini was talking with my older two boys.
they were really glad we stopped going to the kh and being practicing jw.
they went on and told me about things they thought.

Basically, all who die before Armageddon will be ressurected for their second chance in the 1000-year reign. This teaching is a bit problematic though, and many JWs start to stutter if you ask them "does that mean Hitler, Eichman, Goebbels, Stalin, Pol Pot etc etc will be ressurected?" Usually they answer "uhhh ... yes", and according to JW-doctrine, they`re right. All who die before A will be ressurected (unless there is some "new light" that I am not aware of).
It was a factor with my children. Those who die, who are mean, cruel, etc will be resurrected. But if you are kind, and good, but not a witness, sorry, you lose. That's why they thought they way they did. (or at least part of it)

I don't understand why they felt that killing and commiting suicide was the answer. I don't know how long you were a witness, but I was raised from birtth as a witness
They felt that since the wages of sin is death, you must die to make it to paradise. So if they killed their friends, their sins would be washed away, and they could make it. My mother became a witness when I was young. I stayed until I was 31. My children were being raised as witnesses. First convention my son went to, he was not quite a month old.
It sounds like now that they are out from under the bad influence, they recognize the fallacy. I don't think you need to do anything but listen.
Thanks. Yes, they are out from under. I will keep listening to them, and being there. Glad they can talk to me about how they felt. I'm glad we are ablt to get this out in the open.
Nothing more than rules that men had made for us and most of it was not even supported in the bible
Just thought that was worth repeating. :-)
Thank you to eveyone for replying to me. I'm sorry if I brought up any bad memories.

I was talking with my older two boys. They were really glad we stopped going to the kh and being practicing jw. They went on and told me about things they thought. My #2 son said, "Mom, I remember thinking I need to kill all of my friends. They were good kids, and I really liked them. They were going to die at Armageddon, and I wanted them with me in paradise. So the only way I could see it happening, is for them to die now, so they could be resurrected."
#1 son told me, "Yea, I thought I should kill myself. I would never make it thru, so I needed to die so I could be resurrected. I heard them talking (those in the hall), and was worried you would not make it either, and I was hoping you would kill yourself too. That way we could be in paradise together."
Then they both told me they were glad we left before they did anything stupid like that. It was hard to hear the boys talk like that. While they do not feel that way anymore, I feel as though I need to do something to help them. They told me that it has been years since they felt like that, but should I do anything, or just let them talk? Has anyone else ever gone thru something like that with their children, or themselves?
