WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO CONFESS?
by stillAwitness ino.k i confess: sometimes i still wish i was in high school where i was tucked away safely away from the real world.
oh yeah, and i pick my nose sometimes.
what are your confessions?

I confess that sometimes I wish I had never found this board. I wish I could go back to the way things were. I wish I could have my friends back, I wish I could still go to the hall without feeling sick.
I know what you mean. It's like the matrix, I wish I never took the blue pill. (or is it the red one?)

Hello, new to posting here!
by doffy injust wanted to pop in and say hi.. i'm from the uk and have made quite a few ex jw friends.
we have met up a few times, and it's great to be with others who understand (my sense of humour lol!).
i have been df for 14 years, and in the process became the black sheep of the family ( a familiar story).

Not everyone left the JW Org for the same reason...Why did you leave?
by JH insome left because they couldn't follow the pace.
some left because they knew they were living a double life.. some left because they rathered live a life of sin.. and some left because they considered it a cult.. i stopped going because i was unable to keep up with all their demands and expectations, and i found them too controling.
also because they cover their past and give false hope for the near future.. why did you leave?.

I was told I never made the truth my own. I was weak, and needed to start over, and learn the basics. When, as an adult, I studied it, and read, and learned, I found out I was lied to, and I was lying to other. (my children esp.)
When being told I was doing enough, and what they expected, demanded, and required was above and beyond what is written, I left.

I also want Amazing Grace played on the bag pipes.
I also have a tee-shirt I want to be wearing. On the front, it says, I'd rather be breathing. On the back it says, keep the fun in funeral.

I read in a WT, that Jehovah is our GRANDFATHER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How could that be? I thought he was our father, and the WTS was our mother. If he's our grandfather, who is our father that we are to pray to? (not joking exactly. never got the mother part, but I'm bull headed.) But I really don't get how anyone could figure grandfather, unless it was adam was our father, and god was his father, making him grandfather, but it still doesn't make sense.

Thank You!
by TD ini was going to post a personal note under the subject, "my daughter is reading jwd" but i decided to just say, "thanks" instead.
it can be confusing for a teen-aged child when one parent is a jw and the other is not, even in a house like mine, where both parents recognize that it would be grossly unfair to "pull" in both directions at once, forcing her to please one parent at the expense of the other.
jwd, with its huge cross-section of people and experience has been and continues to be valuable in helping her to make up her own mind.

Hello TD's daughter. Just wanted to say Hi, and let you know, other teens are reading. So there are others here as well. You are not alone.

Well, I handled that amazingly well...
by Joel Wideman inas my wife predicted, my mother heard that she da'd herself.
she called, and spoke with my boy for awhile.
(she needs her medication adjusted.

You did handle that very well. More self control than many people I know could use.(myself included)
