Excellent.

"But it (the family run baking company ) points out that the company's issue was with the slogan and not Mr Lee, claiming it would have refused the same order from a heterosexual client."
... that this forum, which is such an amazing resource for those needing support for their journey from watchtower's clutches has an increasingly present representation of unreasoning politically charged loudmouths..
Labelling is, IMHO, the biggest cause of discord on discussion forums. My BIL recently berated me because I'm an EU leaver.."How can you cast your vote along with Boris Johnson"? he exclaimed. Grouping at its worst IMHO.
There is an expression that covers it: Dicto Simpliciter Fallacy
do you have examples of hymns you will never hear in kingdom halls in any country.. here are a few of my favorites:.

At my very first KH, all the songs were accompanied by an organist pedalling like crazy to keep the damned thing full of air.
I never saw anything like this though!

i was commenting on another thread about how local kh attendance is down.
memorial attendance was also way down and the circuit assembly had hundreds less people than what is typical.
my jw family has even mentioned it.
I didn't realise that "Ein Prosit" was a Kindum Melody. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1NzzAKeffc
it really hurt to hear brothers and sisters commenting about this at the meeting yesterday.. "as in solomon’s case, one of the greatest threats to spirituality is friendship with those who do not understand or respect jehovah’s standards.
some may be associated with the congregation but may be spiritually weak.
others could be relatives, neighbors, coworkers, or schoolmates who are not worshippers of jehovah.
Just remembering WT studies from long ago ... there were similar articles to this back then. The audience would be clamouring to answer and make references to "these weak ones" in order to inflate their own egos. Yuk.
has anyone heard about the woking north congregation in the uk?
it amalgamated with another hall on 3 august 2018.. truthseeker.
Gosh, the first time I got married was in the Waterlooville KH Back in '68. I think it was located in Jubilee Road back then.
the financial times had an article with the above question.
the author asked various people to answer the question.. https://www.ft.com/content/169705e4-b4dd-11e8-b3ef-799c8613f4a1.
while i was not interviewed, if i was asked this question i would say that i wish i had known in 1975, when i was 18, that i was raised in a cult and that the continued focus on armageddon over my lifetime was a cruel joke.
I wish I'd known that God wasn't an old man with a long white beard wearing a dressing gown sat on a cloud watching what I did with my genitalia.
