I have to contradict you. For them, who are prophesying the end for 100+ years, the sun coming up every day is a curse, not a blessing. It proves they are false prophets.

Please, help me to show the USA that a public inquiry into child abuse...
by defender of truth in.. in institutions is needed.
it needs to be done as soon as possible.. and i need you to help me.. i need someone, maybe more than one person, to draft a template, for a letter to the white house.. it has to clearly state that the usa is falling way behind many other countries, in terms of protecting children in institutions nationwide.. it has to make this clear: .
both australia and the uk (independent inquiry into child sexual abuse in england and wales, see here: www.csa-inquiry.independent.gov.uk/about-the-inquiry ) are currently investing large amounts of time and financial resources to research the best possible policies to protect children, across all institutions, religious and nonreligious.. they are working to expose the failures of various institutions, that have not reported child abuse, or have even covered it up... why are the united states of america not doing the same?!!.

and you have to answer like it's written in the paragraph.

EXACTLY Why JW's Are NOT Christian
by Perry ina lot of people, ex-jws, believers and unbelievers alike, think that jw's are just a somewhat kooky brand of christianity.
is it possible to "try and follow jesus" and not be christian?
what exactly makes someone a christian?

From what I know KJV has some verses deliberately changed to sustain the doctrine of the trinity.
Even them changed those verses back in newer editions of KJV ...

Getting the Urge!
by Theburstbubble inevening folks, so as some of you may know we have recently decided to leave the witnesses and can see it for the man made organisation it is.
so, why do i get the urge to go back and feel guilty for not being there!
it's like my mind is telling me to be logical about it all but then something keeps pulling me back.. don't get me wrong i really want to break free from it all and i'm resisting the urge to go back as i have been miserable in the truth for a long time as i've known it's not right and want to do the best by my daughter.

I think it is just the need for socializing.
I get this, too, sometimes.
A need for socializing and sharing your faith.

Prologos is right, they were very cruel in old times. Horrible cruel. I visited a museum with torture instruments from the middle ages ... horrible, unspeakable. -

very good points!!!
What Bible version are you using? It is difficult for me to follow the old language - there are newer Bible translations that are good.
Otherwise, very good points!.

Last week I was invited by a sister to go in the field ministry with her. I did, because she is one of the 2 people who contacted me since I am not attending the meetings.
And I thought it would be a good opportunity to tell her about some of the things I researched.
While she was preaching I stood aside and watched people's reaction. A person she spoke with was a theologian, the other one was clearly a member of a reformed church. They did not raise any issues, just listened to the sister's small "talk", smiled, took the magazine, said thank you and that was it.
I wonder if people are taking them seriously any more ... or maybe they know by now where jw's are coming from and see there is no point in having an indeep religious conversation ... or maybe they just don't know how to defent their own faith, themselves ...
Maybe it is just my new perspective, but I felt like it was a waste of time and that people are looking at them like preaching a cult, not the word of God, which is kind of true.
