Hairtrigger: The SOB,s want an audio broadcast of the trial!
Haha!
Apostate lies! Apostate lies, I say...! The videos of courts are all lies! Look at what they did to the poor WTS down in Australia...don't listen to anything you hear! The media have it all wrong!
But when they corner poor Jdubs into a JC they won't allow a witness or a lawyer into the proceedings
The unfolding of this drama is dripping with hypocrisy.
"Don't do unto us as we do unto you"

I can understand Sanderson's interest and placement in this theatrical drama.
Baby Face Mark came up the ranks of the Hospital Information Services. He was a big cheese in the HLC. What this potential ban will mean for the WTS, would be the disbanding of the HLC network in Russia. If the Admin Center is banned, the Hospital Information Services will also be tossed.
Sanderson's appearance at this court hearing is a testament to the WTS' interest in keeping their bloodless hooks in Russia. They have been grooming that market since back in the 90s.

That photo. In the Russian court room.
Mark Sanderson. His tie. Am I seeing things? Is Sanderson wearing a jworg tie?? Or was that tie just carefully picked to match corporate colors?
*great post, Sparky
**to add - "Effective September 1, 2012, Mark Sanderson began to serve as a member of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses"
And so handy that we now find out how fluent he is in Russian! The baby faced GB member reveals his hidden super power.
see what bridget azaz did!.

paleemperor: ...deliberately reject the body and blood of Christ
The rejection of the blood of Christ at the memorial is consistent with the rejection of blood sharing.
No blood transfusions and no drinking of Christ's blood/wine. The ideology that underpins both is "Do not share blood".
an old friend, a "brother" called from italy.
updated on a few things.. most interestingly, he said they just had their final assembly at their "beautiful assembly hall".. why would it be the final assembly?
because it's sold!.
Selling the assembly halls likely has something to do with Italy taxing church property that is not connected to regular worship activities. Churches are non-taxable property but other property owned by churches is taxable.
It isn't that the WTS needs the money from the sale of the assembly hall property - it is more likely that they are simply avoiding the property taxes that have been levied on it.
i find this an interesting read.. https://www.degruyter.com/downloadpdf/j/perc.2016.14.issue-1/perc-2016-0003/perc-2016-0003.pdf.
Thank you, Wonder.
Yes. Very interesting.
it appears like the wt's bible is no longer to be used in russia.
king james version only.

You're welcome, hecce.
I thought some more...and read some more. I think this BOE letter was sent to the Russian Congregations.
The WTS has had a long time to address the charges that they have changed the Bible. And now...a few days before the court hearing, they want to address it? Now they tell the JWs to use the "Synodal translation"?
I had said the King James Version - because I was just following the thread title from the other forum. However, that may not be accurate as "synodal" is this:
The Russian Synodal Bible (Russian: Синодальный перевод, The Synodal Translation) is a Russian non-Church Slavonic translation of the Bible commonly used by the Russian Orthodox Church, Russian Baptists and other Protestant, as well as Roman Catholic communities in Russia.

The Christian Assembly of Jehovah's Witnesses
April 1, 2017
TO ALL MEETINGS
Theme: Using the Synodal Translation of the Bible in New Conditions
Dear brothers!
From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank you for your active participation in the campaign to write letters. Your participation in this campaign was a clear testimony of brotherly love in action (1 Peter 2:17). At the same time, we realize that the most important thing that we can do to support our brothers facing persecutions is to offer our prayers to Jehovah for them.(Read 1 Timothy 2: 1--4.)
As already reported, the Ministry of Justice wants to impose a ban on the activities of the Christian congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia. If the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation decides to ban, this will negatively affect more than 175,000 of our brothers and sisters, on their honorable duty to carry God's words from door to door.
Perhaps opponents think in this way to hinder the preaching work, but our main tool is the Bible, and we can participate even more diligently in the preaching work (1 Corinthians 15:58, Ephesians 6:17). Although the translation of the New World has helped us for many years to better understand the truth and carry the message of the Kingdom of God to other people, but in the new conditions that have arisen in Russia, we must start using the synodal translation of the Bible again.
This is necessary to avoid accusations of distortion of God's word from the world of Satan and discourage our opponents until the verdict of the Supreme Court.
Your brothers,
A copy of the district overseers
Note for coordinators of councils of elders.
Please ensure that this letter is read at the next meeting on weekdays, and also at a weekend meeting. Do not post this
**edit to add - I have read this again...maybe this isn't directed to the congregations in Russia...not sure where this was sent to. It is worded as though it may be in surrounding areas...??
according to the latest forum 18 article, this is what happened in russia on march 15:.
http://www.forum18.org/archive.php?article_id=2265.
with immediate effect, a 15 march suspension order forbids the administrative centre and all its local religious organisations from "using state and municipal news media, organising and conducting assemblies, rallies, demonstrations, processions, picketing, and other mass actions or public events, and using bank deposits, with the exception of use for making payments connected with their economic activity, compensating for losses (damages) caused by their actions, and paying taxes, fees, or fines, and making payments based on labour contracts" .
dsp: I'm not saying there will be a bit of congestion, but not on the scale some seem to be talking up, not on the above numbers.
Well...let's watch and see. It will be interesting.
The impact will be (*or maybe not?) felt on an already poorly functioning Russian postal system. But, I am sure, once the other countries so nicely sort it all out and have it pre-bagged...it makes for an easy solution once it hits the Russian borders.
Yes, overloads of political mailings, once the postal service figures out what is happening, is handled as bulk bagging - to make it easier on the guys down the line. I used to be a postie long ago...in another life, in a land far, far away...and I have bagged stuff like that up at the local level. At the very least, I snapped rubberbands around it before it was tossed in the "international" bag...to be sorted at least once more before heading out over the great pond
