  For the past year I would go in service but refused to give in service report with my name on it.I would just put the hours and publication placed. That was my first act of rebelion towards man made directions within the organization. And even then I wold just go with line : "today I would like to offer you this watchtower that deals with the subject..... " knowing that people are most likely to refuse me what actually was my goal; I just didn`t want to see any of people I called on to be interested in jws teachings.But I could not keep up with that for long,so then about six months ago I completelly stopped going . I was not able to talk to people about things I had doubts myself.

  then I started research about jws on intenet.....

  Are You Ashamed Of The Way That You Disciplined Your Child?

  most articles in the publications recommended physical punishment, (corporal) when disciplining children.

  the scripture says that "he will not die" if you beat him.

  so many parents literally beat their children.

  I was not raised a witness and I used to work as a pediatric nurse for some years, so those experiences shaped my opinion about child rearing. I have three kids and I never spanked them exept litlle swat on their "diaper" bottom, and I never spanked my kids if they were antsy during the meetings. My only regret is that I wasn`t more vocal toward those jw parents who would loose their temper and drag their kids, some of them babies, and discipline(beat them) ,just because they had a hard time sitting still at the meetings or conventions.

  first - welcome to the forum. I am trully sorry that you have to carry that burden and pain from your childhood. Hopefully you are able to heal and telling about mistreatment and abuse very much helps. I sincerely hope that the molestor is known and caught and got what he deserves.

  My Brother Died Today

  i consider all who post here as my family.we have all been hurt in some way.my brother died today.. blueblades,who has six sisters left.mom,dad,one sister and two brothers died.i'm the only man in the family now.

  I am very sorry for the pain of this unnatural separation from your children, and I hope ,as you said, that good values and instructions you gave your kids will help them see the real truth.

  You are very strong and courageous woman to be able to take control of your life away from the wt, and to have strenght to share your experience for the benefit of others.

  before you got baptized, what were the books that you studied with your bible study conductor?

  the "essential" one that i studied was the live forever book.

  when i was a child, i had to study my book of bible stories, great teacher, and your youth (twice).

  Live Forever and United in worship, also when we first went to book study we jumped in a middle of Revelation book - with my limited english it was so confusing and hard to understand.

  Bush Admin Bans Media Coverage of Dead Soldiers Returning..Why?

  why would the pentagon suddenly stop all the media coverage of our dead troops coming home?

  a little too close to election time maybe?

  i hope this comes back to haunt bush and all of his war cronies and i hope they can live with all the dead that keep piling up every day.

  of course they do - it probably worked out for them but you are forgeting that there are many ( let say 9 million people) for whom it didn`t work out good ,and I am speaking for them. We all have our own views and it greatly depends on which side we were. From my own experience, from the experience of my family members and my friends I know that what I am expressing is truth.

  I gave pretty general statement about Kosovo not specifically singling out any side yet you find that my knowledge about that situation is not accurate - how so?Why would you have accurate information? Did you live there or have family or friends there? Do you know anything about where I come from?

  I still stand by my statement that world comunity failed people in that part of the world.

  "What is war good for? - Absolutely nothing!"

  Does anybody remember Balkans and Kosovo? I do. Is it peaceful there? No and never will. The same thing with Iraq. In both cases it would have been better choice if the resources were used to help people within these countries tople those regimes that were oppresing them.

  I applaud you for your strenght - you are survivor and a brave woman.

  I agree with you that memories can be really shattered and that it should not be reason not to trust this poor girl. In every rape case,investigators should really tread carefully not to cause even more damage to the victim - because no matter what the victim looked like, what or where did she work or what her circumstances were,nobody" deserves" to be violated in any way.

  In this case it seems to be more questions than answers.

  somewhere I read : " Truth is like surgery - it hurts but it heals too."

  so, I guess no matter what it was I would like to know ,and I would not choose to hide.Quite a few times I`ve been really hurt by people trying to work for my benefit by hiding the truth, just to have that truth exposed latter ,even uglier.Not only I had to deal with very complicated situations because of that fact but I also lost trust in some people.
