  Investing in friendships on this board

  i've been reading the thread about posters you miss hearing from.

  some of you sound like you've invested a lot of "heart" in developing a raport with certain posters over a long period of time only to find suddenly they stop posting and your "friendship" has disappeared overnight.

  you miss them and wonder what happened to them.. how is that any different from what we experienced when our "friends" at the kh stopped calling or coming by.

  the loss is different..

  the loss of jws is a knife to the gut because they cut us out of their lives.. we are not welcome in their doors..

  Morty for example on JWD.. we've lost touch.. but I know without a doubt if I were to find her and show up at her door.. not only would I be ushered in.. but I'd probably not be allowed to leave for a long while..

  its like saying good bye for now, (even if it could be forever) and saying good bye and having being slammed in our face..

  both may be sad.. but one is on purpose..

  the other is by accident..

  so one causes sadness at missing..

  the other may have sadness.. but it also may include anger, bitterness... disloyalty to friendship..

  way, way back in 1962, when i was four years old and my family relocated from harlem to queens, ny, our tuesday night book study, as it used to be called way back when almost universally in jw land, was conducted by a woman !!

  please don't think i don't remember correctly because of my young age at the time, but the sis.

  who conducted it is still alive, and i practically know her whole family.

  i have a 22' sailboat in the marina.

  i took her out on saturday and spent about 8 hours on lake superior.

  saturday was an almost perfect day for sailing.

  the diffference is.. we've lost each other just by losing touch..

  the people from the KH cut off their friendship out of conditional rules that we can no longer be their friends..

  the difference is.. were we to run into a member from here who has been away.. we would be happy to hear from each other.. NOT SHUNNED

  I see SimpleSally in person., but I miss posting with her on a board... we were the tree girls from Obeds board after all....

  If Your tree limb drops in my yard...ITS GOING BACK..I HATE NEIGHBORS

  here in florida, we have major yard work most of the year.. i have a neighbor that has tree limbs that drop off into my back yard.....the hell i'm going to deal with them.. so i wait till it's dark, and toss them back over the fence between our 2 yards.

  sometimes, i find them back into my own yard.

  i would never send limbs over the fence from my own trees from my own yard.. what the hell?........god i hate neighbors!.

  I miss having a yard for things to fall into!

  lol..

  I never had problems like that.. although I used to have problems when I lived in the country of neighbor dogs coming in our yard and wanting to fight with my dog..
