hello my friend,.
i was reading through a few of your past posts in an effort to get to know the christ better and i have a question.
according to one of your posts from 2003 you tell us that being publically ridiculed or disbelieved by apostates is a fullfilment of prophesy.
I Concur with Awakened, Where are those guys in the white coats that pick up nutcases when you need them????

i have decided to go back to basics and just read the bible alone, trying to eliminate wt influence from my mind as i read.
it's amazing what you see in the scriptures when you just look at the scriptures.. can anyone shed some light on the following - in particular verse 13:.
Tibit found in the WT indexes:

w749/15p.574par.14FindingDelightinJehovah’sWays***God’s loving consideration and appreciation for the faith and acts of devotion of his servants are so deep that they do not necessarily have to do great things to please him. Of the widow who dropped only two coins, worth about one fourth of a cent, into the temple contribution box, Jesus remarked: "This widow, although poor, dropped in more than they all [the rich ones] did." (Luke 21:3) And when Mary the sister of Lazarus and Martha anointed Jesus with perfumed oil, Jesus said: "Wherever this good news is preached in all the world, what this woman did shall also be told as a remembrance of her." (Matt. 26:6-13) God saw to it that Jesus’ words came true, for this act of devotion is reported in three of the Gospel accounts.—Mark 14:3-9.
Not a surprise I found nothing else, in all the WT indexes, explaining this scripture relating to Mary's deed .

Just a quick note, that scripture reads from Matthew 26: 13 not 25:13
i have the 1985 edition of the kingdom interlinear translation of the greek scriptures.. .
at the top of page 949 i noticed something that is puzzling, to say the least.. .
on the left side of the page is the greek text with the english transliteration directly under it.. .
The KIT of 1969 has "worship" whereas the 1985 version has "obeisance". Is there a difference between the 2 words?

I have a copy of the booklet "Loyalty" by J.F. Rutherford. Does this researcher need any particular quotes or pages from the booklet? Let me know.

What the Bible says respecting "uncleanness, sexual appetite, hurtful desire" applies to all Christians, single and married. It is true that husband and wife have a Scriptural and legal right to engage in sexual relations with each other, and to enjoy doing so. But does this mean that they can throw off all restraint? The fact that God’s Word urges all Christians to cultivate self-control argues against such a view. (2 Peter 1:5-8) The inspired Bible writer did not have to explain to married persons the natural way in which the reproductive organs of husband and wife complement each other. Homosexual relations obviously cannot follow this natural way. So, male and female homosexuals employ other forms of intercourse in what the apostle refers to as the satisfying of "disgraceful sexual appetites" and "obscene" practices. (Romans 1:24-32) Is it reasonable that married couples could imitate such homosexual forms of intercourse in their own marriage relations and still be free in God’s eyes from expressing "disgraceful sexual appetites" or "hurtful desire"? That they are God's only chosen people on earth today!!!
i have been thinking that i am over it - i am ok - i am not angry anymore, but after a conversation with one of my best friends today, well i am not sure.... my husband comes from an anglican/catholic background.
we, however, as a couple are not religious at all and have never tried to take our kids to church or sunday school etc.
i sometimes feel that we should be giving them some attempt at a christian education, but i cannot bring myself to go to a church.
Been out since the late 70's , and until a few years ago , I'm finally over it. Hang in there!
