Almost, yes I am learning from experience, and I think thats healthy. But I also know that everything I have experienced up to now has made me who I am. And all of those things, good and bad, were lived through, dealt with, celebrated, and digested. Now did they happen for a reason? Certainly, so that I could be a well rounded individual.
As to the omen thing, I think that sometimes we enter into auto-pilot. Like when you go somewhere and when you pull into the driveway you think, jeez, I don't even remember driving here. Well sometimes we aren't really "present" all that much. Sometimes some bird will fly by or you'll trip, it brings you back into the moment and makes you fully present and more aware. So if you aren't spacing off you are more likely to see that quarter, or whatever else goes on.

Well I think I'm thinking of this on a different level than you are all talking about. I don't sit and ponder on why some almighty god threw this huge calamity in my path and what could be my lesson. I'm talking on a much smaller scale. Like, "well I could have handled that better, next time I'll try to remember he/she may have had a reason to act that way".
So I'll back out now and let you all wax philosophical.

How about a JWD charity?
by AK - Jeff insince we are much like a 'club' here in some respects, how would someone go about setting up a philanthrophic outlet?.
there is such a loving and concerned spirit here, and i am sure that a worthy cause could be found.
any ideas?

A legal fund for victims of child abuse. There's an attorney on this site that could probably help connect that up for you. I think that or the blood issue somehow would be the closest two to our hearts.

Well for me its healthy because I try to see the lesson in each thing as it comes up. Its a journey and if you can't learn from your mistakes you are bound to repeat them. As for the good things, I like to know what happened right so that we can stay on a roll.
It doesn't have to mean you are looking for someone to point the finger at, at least I don't view it that way.

The tone of their voice, like they were talking to a six year old, the smirk ala GWB, the inability to know a scripture (shouldn't have had to read it), that was indicitive of their overall knowledge in the first place. Just made me sick.
You should mail a copy to them, someone here can edit it, I'm sure, with your commentary.
You can note that this important notice that they mailed three times, was not mailed by registered mail in order to ensure it's delivery. That their decision was made without your participation, knowledge, or representation... I don't remember the scripture, but it seems to me that they inferred by it or stated outright something about a mental defect. Perhaps there is a lawsuit there. Others have told them that if they announce it they will sue for slander, I believe that has been successful. I'm sure that there is a lot you can say in the voice-over.
What a bunch of losers.
