it's not always like this i know but i'm wondering if life would be far easier for me and my wife if i just drew a line under all my efforts to maintain a relationship with my jw mother, brother and sisters.

all the rejection, judgementalism and condescension gets a bit much after a while.. how many here actually said 'goodbye' to their jw family and can honestly say they did not regret it?.

My family was abusive WHILE I was in, and after I was out, (initially) the emotional blackmail began. Because of the way I left they didn't immediately start to shun me, but when they realized that I had a female partner they decided that I was the devil and cut me off quickly. After they quit talking to me I couldn't for awhile figure out why I felt so free and relieved about it instead of sad. I am happy to say that I have found other family that is dearer to me than those that cast me out, and have proven over and over that they love me no matter what.

So, yes, I have, though they began it, I embraced it. No, I don't feel sad about it, its their loss. But tomorrow, if my parents and some of my family found out conclusively that the WTS was full of bunk, they would STILL be uneducated, passive aggressive, angry people. Never say never, but I sure can't think of a scenario where we could ever get along.

so, i have a good job, but i hate my boss.

it's gotten to the point (beyond the point) that i just need to get outta here.

it's not even worth going to hr about because she makes sure you get fired if you do that, but not before dragging your reputation through the mud.

I've done a lot of different things in my life, but the one I'm doing right now is my favorite, I LOVE it. I'm a buyer, get to spend other people's money, get to wheel and deal, negotiate. Its so much fun! At my job we laugh every day, I work with a crazy ass bunch of people as am I, so we all fit in! On the down side, its a one-year temp position. However, I took that gamble because of the company I'm buying for and what it'll do for my resume.

Good luck in your search. Find something you absolutely love and go for it!

after several years of a great friendship with diane (previously posted as xena) things have started to really come together recently and i've succumbed to making an honest woman of her (or at least as honest as it's possible to make her.

last night (xmas day) i popped the question and she agreed to marry me (i wonder if she knows what she's let herself in for!!!)..
