Curried salmon (fresh King Salmon), jasmine rice and broccoli. That ice cream sure sounds good for dessert though, may have to go to the store!

Hmmmm.... well I have been invited but I hear most folks don't like lesbo pagans down there... those lynchins scare me!
Perhaps you apostates could cover for me and I'd be safe for an apostafest perhaps in the fall.....

any interesting threats your parents would use on you.. my mom always said, remember there's an eye watchin' you.
and when i would say something about a brother or sister or the society or something offbeat in general.
she would say the she bears were going to eat me.. well she was close on the last one.
The most notable one I can remember was from my mom. She was big on the fear side of the religion anyway. I was pretty independent and I was having a period of "doubt" in my teen years. I told mom I didn't want to be a JW anymore. She said I would die at Armeggedon and it would be long, slow and excrutiating. I said well if I saw the big A coming I would just commit suicide since being dead is just nothingness anyway. She said "Oh no, Jehovah won't let you commit suicide, he will kill you and he will make sure you know its him killing you and he will make it slow and painful."
So much for a loving god, what a guy! But I guess that says a lot about my mum too.

an update on the case states that he only went the kingdom hall once and then attended the other five services at a christian church.
i wonder if all the letters had an impact?
the article goes on to state the the case generated interest from as far away as germany and great britain.. .
Church and State are more and more fuddled every day over here in gool old America despite arguments to the contrary. Its scary.

my brother in law wants to know::: if jw's don't have the truth then where do you go to worship?
if i had something better then he would follow?
i know i have heard this before from jw's but couldn't find the thread to answer him correctly.
He is diverting attention. My response would be, if JWs have the truth you would be correct. If they do not have the truth then ANYwhere else would at least be worth investigating. If they do not have the truth, then they are the one place you know for sure you should NOT worship. Then bring them back to the real topic, do they have the truth...

today i attended a meeting targeted on how to handle the situation of children vs. lesbian/gay parents coming out.
it was most enlightening.
the most surprising though was that i met a lesbian df sister from my neighbourhood "cong".
Inquiry, Thats wonderful! Hopefully you two can get a friendship out of this, its very nice to have a friend with the same experience.

Well I suppose we should define gaydar, huh? Gaydar is the ability to tell whether someone else is gay. The term is used mostly by the gay community. So many people even now, have to be in the closet in so many areas of this country and the world, that gaydar comes in handy to tell if someone else is "family" too.
