I thought this book was stupid after a few pages. The answers were so one dimensional as to be useless in real life. Yep, praying to Jehover will fix ANTHING.
The questions I wanted to ask, were never even approached or hinted at. Either the GB was stupid or teenagers were; I seriously suspected it was the former.
What really bugs me is that I suppressed this doubting tendency. WHY?!? Sigh--because I was very neatly programed.

basically i need to present the truth about the truth, but only things that can be verified either in society print, or in the case of the un, from the un itself, no opinions, just documents that can be checked, preferably old and new and on varying matters, inconsistencies, blatant changes in doctrine etc, with references.. .
it's always been so 'matter of fact' for me that it's all false, i fear that if i try to provide information with just my own mindset, i will miss a lot and might not provide the best info, i have tried searching on the site but there are so many posts i struggle to find even posts i remember seeing last month.. .

Dude! Don't give up. I know what you mean about "knowing" something enough to suit yourself, but having to prove it to others being dificult. I suck at using the search function here, but I will help you seek treasure-in the Terrence and Phillip sense-if you want help. There was a very good DA letter a few weeks ago. I am not sure if just the U.N. info is enough. To me that seems to be just a starter to get them to keep their shields down and more open for something more devastating. Did you have specific items in mind?

i'm not baptized, but i do go out in service, not much now that i'm getting a post secondary education.
i wasn't raised a jw and this is where i run into a lot of problems, the things i like to do don't really jive with the wts.
i played comptive sports in high school and college.
My short and possibly calloused reply would be: Dude! Drop the JWs and go back to your HS and colledge friends.
I'm curious how you even got involved with the JWs.
Do you think, in the grander scheme, that god really cares one way or another if you play Rugby with the guys? Are they truly "Bad" people?
If you were to go see old friends and their families, do you think that the creator of Billions of Galaxies each with Billions of stars is going to stop for a moment and hold his breath over possible conversational matters?
I can relate to your being depressed. Who is more Christ like? People that go out door to door for hours yet do not have the personal inclination to call one of their own and see how they are doing. Or. People who have known you your whole life, or parts of your life, who genuinely care for you, and may be curious why you have distanced yourself from them.
I think that you are experiencing lack of love. Or even cognitive dissonance. I am sorry that you feel frustrated and alone.

There are many here who are better at talking with new posters. It is kinda a slow night, as it is late (or early a.m.) in the US, and I think it is Sunday in the rest of the world.

Looks to me like you have things taken care of. I am sorry that they are judgemental of your choices and you. Just live a happy life, the best that you can; be yourself. In the end, that is the best way to reply to them. I will now step aside so that other more expierienced individuals can come forward.
