....I sure hope so. I wonder if we are making a real difference here. I do hope we are chipping away at the very foundation of the organization. What do you think???
Do You Think We Are Hurting The Organization By What We Do Here?

i think we are because i think almost every one of us knows someone that's a JW. and all it takes is a little bit of pressure over time to get something to crack, so....
i personally don't buy into their stuff, so i think that it hurts the organization that way because i don't want to go out and "preach" in something that i find false which further damages their future growth.

Yes, I do Minimus. Thanks to the internet, I was exposed to people who have wised up the WTBTS. I had never seen any literature from the "apostates". I was curious about it though. I think a lot of dubs are curious about it. So when they happen upon sites like this and they read, slowly but surely they see the light.

I think we are hurting the organization with what goes on here. What's great about this board, is that you get different perspectives from people around the world, and their experiences with the organization. Many JWs have doubts, and since they can't really turn to the congregation about them, they'll start searching on the internet, and find places like this. They will start reading, and realize that some of the things they notice in their congregation are not just isolated cases, but others have had similar experiences.
It's thanks to this board that I've found the truth about the "Truth".

....I sure hope so.
Not the RF JWs, they're just people. But the "Society" and other nebulous entities...

I once heard it said that whatever is seen, whatever is written down and whatever is spoken can move a person and inspire a person to great power. Words have had great power with me---just a certain way someone else has made an expression about fact, theory, feelings, etc. I am "moved". I am changed. That is because I allowed my heart to open up to new thoughts.
I suspect that we are "moving" people to think more for themselves. If this means they are questioning their belief system, whether it be JW or something else, then this is a good thing. Anyone having the "truth" should never fear losing it just because of what someone else says or does. If that happens, then they really didn't believe it deep down and had doubts. Faith can move mountains, but doubts never go away, no matter how far back we push them. They affect us. It is a trust that we have placed for our spiritual welfare. As long as the trust is maintained, the servant will comply willingly.
The trust we had was found to be lacking and so we are here. This is a wonderful source of companionship and acceptance.

I would like to think that we have eroded the organization a little bit. OKAY, OKAY, I hope we destroy the darn org. But above all else, I like this board for the information that it provides, the chance to vent, and be able to share information. If there is a side benefit of just affecting one percent of the current membership that would over joy myself.

If we were not, then there would be very few or no talks from assemblies and conventions and KH platforms about the dangers of the internet etc. Any spread of information helps -- the big one of course was Ray and Crisis of Conscience and then there was Randy's website and in the last few years this site -- people come, they browse a seed is planted that maybe they are not being told the whole truth -- so yes -- we are hurting the organization by what we do here -- little pieces of information break -- see the UN Scandal --it is on internet discussion boards in under 1 hour --and around the world at the speed of light -- the WTBTS then had to send a letter out to all congregations -- that is just one example -- YES WE ARE HURTING THE ORGANIZATION

I'm thinking, too, of what we do HERE at JWD. It seems theres always new posters and I believer "lurkers" or "viewers" that are seeing the questions, the evidence, and the "truth about the truth".
