No Gumby, I wish I had been. I'm just naturally retarded.

What gives any being the right to be worshipped?
by dh in.
i'm not sure if i've phrased the question correctly, but what is it that you think gives god or whoever else the right to ask (or demand) the worship of us humans.

"What does God need with a Starship?" Didn't Kirk ask that?
It is a sick, insecure human quality that has been projected onto a supposed supreme being: that being that the God, with "Phenominal Cosmic Power" has no realistic sense of self worth, and requires that simpler life forms "must"give him LOVE to validate his "itty-bitty" wounded ego.
Then again, it could just be a *shhhh* secret that humans desiring alpha positions of power, fasion a deity, with characteristics that mimic their own, and use said GaWd, to live like parasites off of their contemporaries.
IT would be almost laughable, but people are murdered for this.
Good to see you around dh.

I am so glad I'm gay. I can fit into some parts of both of these, while others don't fit me at all. I guess I just 'am what I am'; so be it.

Practicing Homosexuality. I need lots of practice, I have quite a bit of catching up to do.
My second choice would be "Independant Thinking", and maybe even telling the WTS to go fornicate with itself.

Pay off my last credit card debt ($800)
Sign up for Tai Chi.
Investigate getting liscensed for massage therapy.
Take organic chemistry courses to give me a working understanding of hydrocarbon chemistry--to further create Spa quality products.

LittleToe's Travels - Dec 2004
by LittleToe insorry if i'm boring you once more, but it seemed like a good way to finish off the year.... so i'm sitting here listening to "wilderness of mirrors" by fish, wracking my brains to recount the events of the last two weeks.. it started by knocking off early to catch a flight to glasgow, on the 17th.
i normally catch a boat and drive down, but i managed to get a flight that was cheaper, so i went for the comfort instead.
mistake number one was forgetting to print off a map for the carhire place, though.

Eventually we all departed at a reasonable hour, but not until after we'd raided NightWarrior's CD collection and played "The Smiths - Girlfriend in a Coma". I was surprised to find it, in the first instance, but also that others (e.g. Piph) knew it.
Not that it matters a great deal, but I thought that was my Smith's CD?
I haven't shot a gun since before I had Lasix, or skiing either for that matter. I'd like to give it a go some time. Anybody here bird hunt, or shoot skeet?
Nice narration Ross, didn't mean to go all ADD in your story thread.
Glad you made it home safe.

Sexual Harassment
by LittleToe ini thought i'd pose a question especially (but not exclusively) for the girls regarding sexual harassment.
what would you deem as unfitting behaviour?.
is it appropriate for a guy to ask if you are wearing any panties?

Keeping it "general"...
I like to approach an individual from the conservative side, conveying a sense of dignity toward them, even if they may not be projecting one themselves. My manner might change as I become more familiar with that individual, but I still maintain a conservative boundary toward the opposite sex, and any activity which might be interpreted as invasive, possibly stripping them of their dignity.
Most of the people I've met from this board, without articulating it, seem to follow a similar standard.
This is really a good way to put it. For me though, it is a little different. I love to mess around and joke with women, and they know I'm not a threat. With guys, I very much behave myself, until I figure out what they might be comfortable with.
I will always respect the boundaries of another human, and I expect the same. If I have crossed a line with a person, I apologize to them.

Asian tragedy: not the "end of the world"...
by observador in... as i am sure some jws will spin it.
as i told my mother once, exagerating a little, they love when tragedies like these happen, as these seem to validate the beliefs they hold so dear.
as tragic and sad as these events in asia are, it's not any signs of times; it's a natural ocurrence that humankind has to learn and prepare to.

I am trying to be inconspicuously absent so that my friends can't take me out for my birthday. I don't want to go to Red Robbin and have them bang on spoons and yell at me! (I've had more than my usual social excitement lately, and need to decompress.)
I might go hiking in the mountains...
