i felt a kind of mental surge within me brewing and i got and went to the men?s room.
I was in a gay bar in St. Louis when I decided never to go back to the KH.
It was pretty easy. I had just moved to Missouri when I transferred colleges. So, the elders in my new cong weren't that familiar with me and it was easy to get lost in the shuffle. When I moved to Texas, I never told them, so I guess they still have my publisher's card. I really don't care, though.

Last month, on my way out of Wal-Mart, I dropped my check book. It's not the same as my wallet, but someone could really have wreaked havoc on my life with it. Fortunately, they turned it in to the service desk who called me to tell me. I was fortunate, all the checks and deposit slips were still in it. (I still called my bank to let them know and to ask about what I should do if there were some fraudulent activity on the account.)
With that said, I would turn it in to some sort of authority. It was fortunate that some honest individual had found my check book, so I could not be anything less that that.

i'm talking about the ones for pure entertainment, cartoons and such.
however, i can't really classify this as purely cartoons since some of you might have watched things like hr pufnstuf.. i grew up in the 1980s, when the magic of saturday morning cartoons existed.

ever since the society split into 3 corporations back in october 2000, it seems to me that the phrase "published by jehovah's witnesses" is appearing on almost every publication they produce, as opposed to the old "watchtower bible & tract society of pennsylvania".

here in oz we?re enjoying the summer heat with blue skies and light breezes.
My favorite thing was watching how nervous the elders would get during the CO's visit.
We always had the really mean, make babies cry by looking at them CO's. However, once for a little over a year, we had a really great CO. He was the nicest man. You could tell that he truely cared about the people he talked to. He took time to speak to everyone, not just the elders, MS's or pioneers. He was actually one of the annointed. The org moved him out because the congregations loved him so much and went on and on about how great he was. This made the DO think that they were getting "dangerously close" to idol worship. The guy that replaced him was just downright mean and nasty. He looked like and had the personality of Mr. Burns from The Simpsons.

this is a spin-off of another thread where my *mild and chaste* friend, mouthy, admitted to wanting to meet her dream man, tom jones, and that she would even go so far as to throw her bloomers at him, if that is what it would take to get his attention!
well, the mental picture this painted was far too much for me to bear, so i encouraged her to save her red polka-dotted "unmentionables", not only because she might need them in the future, but because i didn't think she'd have to go that far to get his attention.
and i said that - because of a personal experience with him.

he did not call me to make up for cutting me out of the family, but to tell me that he is going to have back surgery for two crushed disks.
now i don't mean to sound like a jackass, but if you don't want anything to do with me or my fiancee and her son, why should i give a rats ass about you and you life problems.

As I read posts like yours on the board, I realize how lucky I am that my folks have left the dubs, too. I can not even fathom their not being a part of my life. I do know that if they were still in, they would be shunning me right now. Even the thought of that makes me so sad, AND so angry at the WBTS for putting families, like yours, through this complete and utter crap!
I can understand where your anger comes from, and it is very valid. But if I were in your situation, I would test the waters. Start off with a phone call to check on him. If your father is wanting to 'reconnect' with you and is using this as one of the WBTS' "valid excuses," you'll be able to tell. If you make this attempt, and nothing happens, you will at least know that you tried. However, if you make this attempt and you do reconnect, you'll have your father back.
I don't even pretend to know your situation, so what I've suggested my not apply to you at all. Above all, you should do what is going to make you the happiest.

Yes, McCain is a republican from Arizona. He ran against W. in the 2000 primaries and I voted for him by absentee ballot. He dropped out of the race before the Texas primary that year.
He couldn't run against an incumbent President, and have a chance of getting the nomination.
Unfotunately, you are correct on this. I'm sure that's why he didn't run. I just hope he does run again in 2008.
