Well, if it were anything like "Last Comic Standing," they vote each other out by staring with the phrase:
"I know I'm closer to Jehovah than Brother So-and-so."
Then the two 'weakest' witnesses would have to give a number four (or three, depending on gender) talk. The audience would vote based on who made them the least nauseated.

it's not like kingdom halls in different cities look different.
they just have a different shape, a different shaped yard, trees in different locations, and some had that car stop thingy which stopped you from getting wet.
Wow. There were windows in those KHs. When did they start doing that. Or, was the "No Windows in KHs" rule a Southern US thing? I have noticed the last few to be built around here do have windows. At least the kids can look out them and daydream.

often, i speak to people who seem to have good jobs.
when i ask how they got that job, then they tell me that finally it came down to good contacts.. many jobs i had were also because of good contacts.
naturally, having a college or university degree is what it takes, but having contacts seems to be what opens doors.. so, how did you find your job, with help from an influencial person, or all by yourself?
Well, there is some truth to the "It's not what you know, it's who you know" school of thought. However, I would have to say, friends/business contacts may be able to get you in the door, but you have to know a little to stay there.
A little over a year ago, a friend of mine knew I was looking for a job. She called me up and convinced me to come on board as temporary that would be hired full time. Six weeks into the ten week temp job, I was hired full time. At six months, they gave me more money. A year to the week I started as a temp, I was promoted to supervisor.
The job before that, I got by answering an ad in the newspaper. The one before that was retail. I was there for ten years; I worked my way up from cashier to working at the corporate offices.

Most people think you're ineffective, but you are trying to completely save the world from itself, so there's always going to be a long way to go. You're always the one trying to get friends to talk to each other, enemies to talk to each other, anyone who can to just talk instead of beating each other about the head and torso. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, and you get very schizophrenic as a result. But your heart is in the right place, and sometimes also in New York.
i quit....smoking that is, my pack to 1 1/2 pack a day habit...i quit june 4th, not a single cigarette since then...though 5 to 7 pounds...are ya proud of me...huh huh huh....i had a few of ya hoping i was leaving the board....ha!

i think that's his name - you know the kid from that show growing pains?
i knew he was in the left behind movie and i think maybe another apocalyptic one, but then i saw him on some evangelical show talking about how to 'witness' to people, spouting a simplistic 'technique' of showing how people are sinners against the 10 commandments and then telling them you can be saved.. one thing that stands out is i could swear his acting in gp was more convincing than this spaced out kinda look he had in this show.

This guy has lost it.... I saw it all on the E! True Hollywood Story: Growing Pains. On the season before the last one, he told the head of ABC that the producers of "Growing Pains" were pornographers because one scene showed his character in bed with a girl for two seconds before it pulled back to show they were rehearsing for a play. That's a bit extreme. Maybe he doesn't really know what pornography is? Alan Thicke (the dad) told him if "GP" was too 'blue' for Kirk's taste, then maybe he should develope a Christian based sit-com. I guess this website is what he did instead.
And the website, oh my, that was interesting. I really liked the picture of the monkey holding the book "God Doesn't Believe in Athiests." I don't want to downplay his beliefs, but telling people that just being human is angering God... I wonder how much of a response he gets to that message.

ran into a jw yesterday who didn't mind talking to me.
she is 50+ and wears her hair long, about to the middle of her back.
she said she's been told by the brothers to cut her hair, that women her age should have short hair styles.
Another fine example of Christian love (or lack there of). My gramma had hair down to her waist and nothing was ever said about it. Of course, the brothers in her congregation knew better. She had a reputation of telling it like it is and could always back things up with a scripture. They didn't mess with her. She would have lit into this brother like a duck on a Junebug.
