  Don't feel too sorry for ol' Johnny Fairplay. You heard his comment, "Maybe my grampa will die during the All Star Show." (Which promptly got booed, thank goodness.) He'll be around for at least fifteen more minutes of fame in Survivor 8: Survivor All Stars.

  I still can't believe that they were all giving him props for the "My Gramma Died" lie. Yes, it was something that got him sympathy, and in turn let him win the race, but it was just WRONG. I was really hoping Rupert would have body slammed him there on the hard concrete. Maybe, that will happen on All Stars!

  I like people who aren't afraid to laugh... at themselves! The world is much too harsh to take yourself serious all the time!

  Oh, and people who buy me expensive gifts. I really like those people... but not in a Michael Jackson sort of way!

  Cool! I love venison (deer meat)! Deer chili, dear steak, dear spaghetti, deer lasagna, deer jerky... Um... did I slip in to Bubba Gump mode? Anyway, happy eating LW!

  The posts on this thread also reminded me of a bumper-sticker I saw recently... "HEART-ATTACKS: Payback for eating God's little furry friends!"

  they say cats have a special enzyme of some sort in their saliva that works like new, improved wisk dislodging the dirt where it hides and whisking it away.

  My cat's name is Xander, but we call him B!tch Kitty because he is so mean and cranky all the time. My cat has attacked everyone in my family at one point or another (except my father, who would have killed him). So, when my roommate told me he was going to wash BK I told him that he would get no help from me! I still had scars from petting him last week.

  As I heard the "screams" of help from the bathroom, I assumed they were from my roomie, not my cat. I cautiously walked in and found my roomie forcing the cat under the faucet. BK had both his paws on the wall on each side of the faucet "screaming" out for help. It looked much like a picture from the organization, where Joseph or Abraham or one of those guys is on his knees, arms raised, calling out to god! (Do cats' have a separate god? What's his name? Jehovpurr?)

  Anyway, after all was said and done... my roommate didn't have a scratch on him!!! And, I got clawed drying him off!

  Mine is a picture of some guy in front of his truck... circa 1930-1940? Its from www.arkansas.com.

  It kinda reminds me of the pictures in the slide shows that the COs would show every couple of years. The phonograph players would have fit easily in the back of the truck along with the freshly killed chickens the householder would have traded for literature.

  .......i just noticed your post........can't say i blame you for thinking that.

  i mentioned i'm currently an elder and don't plan on leaving the organization...........but i probably won't be an elder much longer......as i'm not exactly the "ball of fire" they want.

  At this point I wouldn't say you're a hypocrite. You've only shared a small portion about yourself on the board. I honestly don't have enough information to go on to answer that question. I feel that calling you a hypocritedom at this point is as silly as the whole "1914-1975-2034" thing the borg have going.

  Welcome to the board. I hope you learn as much as I have here and then SHARE it with you whole congregation.

  How do you feel about Christmas?

  do you enjoy it after so many years of not celebrating?

  does it have any relevance to you now?.

  i live in nz and it doesn't feel like xmas to me cause it's the middle of summer - it just doesn't compute so that helps really all in all.

  I was born and raised as a dub. I've been out of the dubs since 1995. I've celebrated Christmas since I got married in 1999. This is the fifth Christmas and it feels almost as awkward as the first.

  I KNOW I'm not doing anything wrong, but I STILL feel like I am. I'm constantly looking over my shoulder for the Elders when I'm in the Christmas section at Wal-Mart. I halfway expected a judiciary committee to pull up while I was putting lights on my house this past weekend. Honestly, I don't care about the opinion of these simple men or their silly, little religion. So, why do I feel bad about celebrating Christmas?

  The one bright spot is that my two of my nephews and a niece still believe in Santa. I've had a lot of fun watching them get excited over Christmas. I guess that'll be my saving grace this year, focusing on the children.

  My brother died last night

  my brother turned 21 on september 24th, a month later the doctor told him that his leukimia had returned and he had a 10% chance of surviving.

  ten days before he died he spent four days at my house.

  he had already made up his mind that he wasnt going to take blood.

  some time back i decided it was time to get healthy, and i eliminated most junk foods from my diet.

  no more chips, dip, pop, chocolate, etc!.

  You can only get them at Christmastime, so we hoard them. They're always gone by February!

  superbowl is around the corner and just wondering how many of you are football fans and who your favorite team is?.

  me, i don't watch football as much as i used to.

  i'm from huntington, wv and the football team there is marshall university "the thundering herd".
