  i know this has been discussed before, but i think some of these wacky (but thought-provoking) comments deserve their own thread.. paragraph 6 says: modestly, anointed ones acknowledge that they do not necessarily have more holy spirit than those with an earthly hope.

  they do not claim to have special knowledge or revelations; neither do they try to prove that they are in some way superior.

  somebody needs to send this memo to the gb.

  Typical WT article. Says one thing and does another. This cult is jam packed with contradictions.

  Before we faded and knew TTATT, I always mentioned to my spouse, "why are there so many contradictions?" Now I know??

  l think the real figure would be a real nail in the coffin for jw believers.lf the elders knew what l knew they would have a field day.many many jdubs live a double life.lovey dovey at the hall and totally different people at home and work.my guess is many dubs are schizophrenic and in need of help.with all the brain washing lm not surprised.what have others observed.

  I agree...there are several we observed that are serving in the Elder capacity and want to live in the real world as well. i.e. Kids in college (Evil 4 yr. college, not the "approved" 2 yr. college). lol Kids are involved in extra curricular activities. It's blatant hypocrisy! One foot in the org the other foot out. People see it!

  I believe there are so many that are just staying in to keep their social network alive. Let's just hope that they are "sticking it" to the cult and NOT donating. What a great way to GET these guys back for all of the abuse they have been responsible for.

  Some of our family and many friends are all on meds or are alcoholics. One friend actually calls them "happy pills." If I had stayed in, I truly believe I would be a full blown alcoholic. When I was still in I needed the drink, now I just enjoy an occasional glass of wine. It is nice to just enjoy it and not need it.

  So much for the "happiest organization on earth."

  i think how much emphasis this puts on "loyalty" shows their is an issue.

  they're trying to plug the wholes as much and quickly as possible.

  They are VERY worried. Why would you have an entire convention on loyalty, if everyone is following 100%? They may come after inactive ones because of the damage it is causing their contribution boxes (oops, I mean dedicated servants) sarcasm.

  If you have a product that can stand the "test of quality" why should you have to defend it? The product should speak for itself. WT knows it has more holes than Swiss Cheese and is worried about it's future. It will never go away, it may just diminish in members.

  Like Candace Conti's attorney stated..".If ever there was a group that needs the sun to shine on them it's this one."

  i've never met a group that turns on it's members like the jw's.

  sister faithful that thinks she's anointed is now bat shit crazy with mental illness.

  we all have known it's true, but now you have the wt, who put it in everyone's head that you can be anointed.

  my parents insisted that i'd take them to the memorial.

  my cousin said he'd come too and another brother who doesn't have a car begged to join.

  i was dreading having to go through exactly the same thing again.

  amazing that not only have we lasted so long but we're still thriving and growing.. thanks to all the people and often colorful characters who've contributed to the site over the years.

  some are still here with us, some have since moved on, but all have touched each others lives in some way along our different journeys.. .

  2016 Memorial Done & Dusted

  well on this side of the planet, the southern hemisphere/ new zealand, the 2016 memorial service in local kingdom halls will be over for another year.

  another great big anticlimax.

  some family and relatives will have gone - but unless i ask my sister, i generally have no idea about attendance and partaker numbers.
