I really admire all of you that have been treated like crap, to reach out to those who have treated you so poorly. It says a lot about all of you. I would love to meet some of these wonderful people one day!

63Sister may have had a slight heart attack, do I text her?
by Xanthippe inso my cousin phoned and told me my jw sister was taken to hospital with chest pains and it may have been a slight heart attack or possibly she's starting with angina.
now as some of you know my sisters and brother have had little to do with me for 29 years.
we've met at funerals, or arranged them, but i just thought today what if she did die?

by EdenOne inbased on legal arguments that revolve around violations of several articles of the portuguese constitution, and of the law of religious freedom, a petition to the portuguese parliament has been set in motion to extinguish the legal entity that represents the jehovah's witness in portugal and remove this community from the national register of recognized religions protected by law.
the petition does not seek to ban the jehovah's witness as a whole in the country.
the petition denounces the institutional policy of shunning former members as a violation of basic human rights and psychological torture, and asks the portuguese legislators and judicial authorities to take action to stop this abuse, and suspend legal recognition to the branch office entity until the policies of shunning are changed.

by Normalfulla inok , my wife and i have faded for a year and a half , i won't bore u with all the details but my wife just got confirmation that her sister got a visit some time ago saying we are marked and my sister also got the same visit in which we were described as dangerous, now for my wife , she has not spoken 1 bad word to anyone about the org apart from me (she woke me up ) the elders came around while i wasn't home and bailed her up but she said she wasn't comfortable talking to them without me there ,so the result ?......
let's do a round of all their friends and say shit about them because we can't df them but let's get them treated the same as if they were .... yeah yeah that's a good idea .... stupid mofos!
out to just wreck the reputation of any defectors from the org .

My spouse and I have bumped into a few witnesses in public. They have been pleasant. We act SOOOOO happy around them (because we are). Same with family that still speaks to us. Nothing confuses them more! You no longer attend but yet you are happy. How can that be? Slap that big ole smile on your face and be pleasant. It really f's them up! lol

Yep. This is the "message of judgement" WT was referring to in the Bunker video. We are having the same thing done to us by someone who is out to get us. I am sure there is a "smear campaign" out there about us. They funny thing....WE DON'T CARE. We are enjoying life and are free of cult teachings and their arrogant ways. We are happy...we are NO LONGER stuck in an abusive cult. Let em enjoy it. We know we are wonderful people that have a lot to offer others. This love is only given to those who deserve it. Once the JW's run all the "weak" ones out of the org, they will start to devour each other. Grab your popcorn and enjoy the show! lol

End times "too late for you now" witnessing?
by CitizenofEarth inhello there.. i've heard it several times from different people while i was growing up, as well seen some people talk about it here on the forum.
the subject is the jw belief that a time will come before the end where they will change the message that jesus talked about, to one of damnation, where the world will be told something along the lines of "it is too late now".
do any of you have references to jw litterature where they write this?

In the Bunker video, they said something along the lines of "the message would be changed to a message of judgement." So what has changed? This cult runs off of judging others.
The majority are a cruel bunch and they actually seem to be looking forward to everyone being destroyed that is not a JW. Sick beyond belief. I can't believe I was ever a part of it.

by smiddy3 ini`m sure you have all noticed the ever increasing number of newbies and lurkers who have visited this site over the past months and i am sure we could all collectively welcome them to this site and support them on learning the ttatt .
and helping them to navigate how they can look up older publications and quotes of the wtb&ts that they would rather remain hidden.. we all know jehovah`s witnesses /governing body never apologizes for mistakes they make they just don`t mention them anymore and explain it away as new light from god.. actually a big cop out.. welcome to all you who are new to this site .. every day their seems to be someone new posting which is great .. and if this is any indication of what is happening in all other ex jw sites the wtb&ts are in deep trouble .

Snake In My Fridge
by finallysomepride ini just now went to get meat from my fridge to cook, took the meat out & shut the door as i shut the door i thought i saw a piece of rope in the six pack i had just opened & had removed 2 cans, already drunk 1.. open the door again & there i saw what i thought was a piece of rope, but i look a bit closer ...... shit it's a friggin snake, bugger i had only just taken two cans out wtf.. .

Has Watchtower taken the joy out of 'the good news of the kingdom'

i was sitting at the kingdom hall thinking about all the rules, procedures, policies, teachings that each member must follow ......or else!.
at the watchtower study we are reminded of the paradise earth where we will all be the same and happy.

We have family members in their 60's and 70's who feel the same way. They still think Jah's going to fix it all. They can't give that up. Every bad thing is Satan. They are getting older and struggling physically and are struggling financially. Some gave up marriage, children, education and any decent paying job for Jah. Their paradise is fading fast. They continue to do bare minimum for "Jehovah" and you can see the discouragement all over their faces. It is sad.
