anybody know about a brother h. latchman in fl.

a jw elder was talking to me about him.

he was so impressed with the fact that he was a. sub.

How can an Elder (who has his kids in College) get up on the stage and read a Watchtower against education? How can he sit there in judgement of others when he is going against the GB (Jehovah)? Do as I say not as I do. HYPOCRISY 101!!

As long as it serves "kingdom interests ($$$$$$)"....it's ok.

Just found out my older brother has passed away

i have just found out that my brother (who was one of a bunch that shared this login) has died.. he and his wife were living in another country where they once pioneered.

i didn't see him that often.. such an empty feeling.....

Celebrating small victories

don't want to get into a lot of detail but it seems like my wife is finally having some flashes of awareness.

she's got them before, but not in very touchy subjects.

she was willing to seat down with me and look over some websites talking about some very controversial subjects that i do not dare to write about at the moment.

Don't give up hope. It took my husband to show me a few things before I put 2 and 2 together. It did not take long.

Worried much Tony? Like someone said, if it wasn't a huge problem, they would not mention it. It is having a huge impact along with:

1. Decrease in Donations.

2. Brothers not reaching out.

3. Young ones holding back on baptism.

4. People dropping like flies (the reason for the Come back to Jehovah brochure)

5. Pedophile issues.

I know that we are excited to hear them discuss these issues. It means they are very worried. As they should be!!!

A difficult yet necessary decision

the past five weeks have been perhaps the most painful in my life as a witness.. some months ago a young man (i'd say in his late thirties or early forties) began attending meetings at my kingdom hall.

he had just moved to my area from another state.

he had disassociated himself from his home congregation many years back, when he was 20 years old and going through many of the typical trials and temptations most young men experience.. two of the elders met with him initially, and they later shared the details with the body of elders.

You are 100% right. This cult that is disguised as a religion is destructive and hateful. "The most Loving organization on the earth"....my a**. They could care less about the flock and I hope these disgusting men get what they deserve one day.

Remain kind and loving to this young man. He sounds like he could really use a friend. As much as he has been hurt, it is the best thing that could have happened to him. At least he didn't spend years wasting his life slaving for this cult, to find that they could care less. I sincerely hope this young man will bounce back successfully.

So glad we got our children out!

it never failed, when someone got disfellowshipped or left the organization, their life became shambles.

if married, a divorce ensued.

if the person had a great job, the company would lay-off or close.

Dubs don't want to know you are happy. It reminds them of how miserable THEY are. They are doom and gloomers and want you to be the same.

The best thing you can do when you meet up with a JW is have the BIGGEST smile on your face and tell them you are doing GREAT (never better). This response throws them off. They don't know what to think. I'm sure they walk away with all the JW smugness. "Well...I never." Ha. Who cares what they think. YOUR HAPPY and FREE. That's what counts!
