I agree. It sounds good on paper and is the way that it SHOULD be but the realization sadly is it is not.

Direction the elders rarely follow.
by notoneoftheboys inhere is a quote from a w/t article a few years ago.
in all the 8 kh i attended [work locations changed] not one body of elders followed this direction, so if they are not minding the sheep who is?
it galls me that they will quickly act if you grow a beard, or voice an opinion, or ask a question, but when your family fall foul of abuse where are the elders then?.

"This video builds appreciation for our circuit overseers and the wonderful work they accomplish along with their loyal wives. "
This statement alone is just too funny! I think in our lifetime we have met only 1 decent CO. The rest were full of themselves and felt entitled to the boot licking/ass kissing everyone gives them.
When we were pretty down and out (having our doubts and discouragement) we had a discussion that we had a new CO. Due to discouragement we really didn't want to attend the meeting but decided that we would give it one last shot. Maybe this CO will be different. Let's give it another try. Let me tell you, this CO was the biggest a******. He was so full of himself and actually showed his true colors in front of the entire congregation. That was it! We lasted about another 6 months. I wish I could name this douchbag. If I ever call him out, I will also thank him for showing us the way. The way out the door!
Vote with you wallets people. If you don't want to leave due to family/friends...do what is best for you. The best revenge is to NOT DONATE! Money makes this cult tick. I love to watch them squirm (May broadcast). lol

So, I became very ill ... what did my loving brothers do?
by EdenOne inrecently i have fallen ill with a serious case of chickenpox (shingles).
three weeks down, high fevers, and the blisters attacked mostly my scalp and face, but then also my whole upper body.
i looked horrid, truly like a mutant monster out of a nuclear disaster.

So sorry to hear you have been ill. We are sending hugs and get well thoughts to you!
It is so sad that the JW's love is so conditional. Your story sounds so familiar. The lack of love and concern is just incredible.
I wish that I could tell you in more detail, a story about a situation our family had several years ago but it could possibly reveal my identity. We had a very serious medical situation with one of our children. Not one visit from the BOE. We were in the hospital for quite a while. We received NOTHING from the Brothers. Just inquiries to why we were missing so many meetings. Damn...our kid was in the hospital. We were still active at the time.
Let's face it, it hurts. I feel for you. I have never forgotten how we felt.
I used to loose sleep over these things but I have now come to the realization that people (especially the JW's are only concerned about themselves). The lack of love is what made us leave then we learned TTATT. We have received more love from non JW's and they don't HAVE to treat us kind...they WANT to.
Hang in there and feel better soon.

Attorney General: JW congregation didn't report child abuse
by betterdaze indelaware attorney general: sussex co. jehovah's witnesses congregation didn't report child abuse.
by associated press 1:47pm, august 5, 2015. the delaware attorney general's office is suing a jehovah's witnesses congregation in sussex county, claiming that elders failed to report an unlawful sexual relationship between a woman and a 14-year-old boy, both of whom were congregation members.. oral arguments in the civil action are set for november.. authorities say elders learned in january 2013 that katheryn harris carmean white was having sex with the boy and failed to immediately call a child abuse hotline.. the congregation's attorney argues that the elders are protected by clergy privilege from the reporting requirements, similar to the confidentiality of a church confessional.. carmean white, who worked as a teacher's aide at seaford middle school, was later convicted of rape and child endangerment and sentenced to six years in prison..

"Go into a KH and disrupt a meeting - suddenly they have no qualms about calling the police. In fact you don't even need to disrupt anything - just ask some questions and stand up for yourself in anyway and they will want you hauled away.
But murder and child abuse - nothing to see, move along. What a bunch of idiots."
EXACTLY!!!! An example of "gulping down the camel and straining out the knat."

freemindfade....I think you are correct. "Acting more culty" is kinda what we expected. I don't think the uber dubs know how to react. Most in our generation have NEVER faced anything like this. -

If Jackson is not available due to compassionate reasons, can other GB member take his place?
by Viva la Vida ini would think the only christian organization on this planet would be more than willingly send another gb member to australia in order to answer rcs questions, taking the place of jackson who is taking care of his ill farther.
.
if someone should show compassion to jackson those are his gb pals.

I think they should send Anthony Morris. He would do a wonderful job! After all he did a great job on the Zone Mtg. talk. Maybe he could share some of his "human hot dog" experiences. The RC would BURY him! I would love to watch that one. -

So frustrating! We can only hope that all of this will mushroom into a major News story. We have contacted several news media sources. Let's hope it will explode into something BIG here in the United States. Every ounce of contact we have with the News Media is a plus. We kudo Barbara Anderson and others who have worked so hard on getting the right info into the correct hands.
