What more do they need to see?
by stuckinarut2 inso bethelites are being decreased...bethel homes even sold off.... special pioneers no longer being funded.. magazines getting smaller and published less frequently.. building work stopping or being reduced.. no large conventions and renting of venues.. etc.... so, money is not coming in anymore to cover the "expenses"??.
didnt the first ever watchtower said that when this occurs, it would be evidence of god no longer blessing the activity....
oh, and throughout the years, we have constantly been told that the "growth of the org and the projects such as buildings and contributions" etc were evidence of gods blessing.... .

" For most this means either something the organization is doing or done has to negatively directly affect them or their children."
We have spoken to several "still in" family members about the pedo issues within the org. They seem to be very passive about it. Almost like...oh well. If it directly affected them or one of their close family members, it would be a different story.
Orphancrow is right. The org defines these ones. They would be NOTHING without the org. I know little old ladies who would have no where to go if it wasn't for the meetings and field service. It's a social club...nothing else.

one used her tablet to show a scripture to the other one.
the second one said: "that looks easier than trying to find it in a book.".

"Friends" are gone
by BeautifulMind ini have (well had) an extremely small circle of jw friends.
lots of acquaintances and associates but 2 or 3 i would consider my true friends.
that list is now 0. yup, once i told them i no longer believe in the org and haven't for a long time, and their attempts to encourage me thru jw lingo and terminologies to "rely on jehovah" and not to "stray away" failed that was pretty much it.

CO Comes Up With A New Way To Be Judgemental...
by JW_Rogue inat the latest co visit something very strange happened.
during the meeting with the elders and servants he passed out a copy of a hypothetical publisher card and asked us what we could learn from it.
upon receiving it i saw that the average hours were pretty good, it had return visits and quite a few bible studies.

We think they bought those apartments to house all the old timers (you know...all the ones sitting in the front rows at the Annual Meeting). I bet a lot of these old timers know some good ole secrets about the Org (they know where all the dead bodies are buried). They have to keep these ones happy, until they die off. Kind of like how they "took care" of Greenlees and Chitty. Funny how they just hid those 2 away. Hmmm!Link +2 / -0 -

The thousand mile bullshit stare
by bohm inanyone else tired of this wt cliche?.
"a certain young man named eutychus sat in the window, weighed down with deep sleep.
as paul spoke still longer, being weighed down by his sleep, he fell down from the third story and was taken up dead".

Suicide or Real Freedom? - My Story As One Of Jehovah's Witnesses
by dubstepped in"sometimes i think the only thing i could do that wouldn't upset someone would be to kill myself.".
those were the frustrated words of my friend as we stood out in his large yard in the country, just about to enjoy a nice bonfire on a beautiful night.
what was it that could have been a lesser evil than killing himself?

Wow...what a fantastic story. It was well worth the read. I just sat here and read it out loud to my spouse. It was wonderful!
It is amazing that you and your wife did all of this together. The debt you paid off and the hard work you did to do that was commendable. You did it with hard work and should be proud of that.
Your story will give so many here hope. I know you must hurt that you both lost your family but you have gained a brother and his family. How wonderful! It is good that you have moved on and are making new friends. You are right, there are so many wonderful people to connect with in "the world." They do not all have horns and pitchforks. lol
Thank you again for your story, it truly made our day.
