So Bethelites are being decreased...Bethel homes even sold off...

Special pioneers no longer being funded.

Magazines getting smaller and published less frequently.

Building work stopping or being reduced.

No large conventions and renting of venues.

ETC.... SO, money is not coming in anymore to cover the "expenses"??

Didnt the first ever Watchtower said that when this occurs, it would be evidence of God no longer blessing the activity.... ??

Oh, and throughout the years, we have constantly been told that the "growth of the org and the projects such as buildings and contributions" etc were evidence of gods blessing....

Close. That Watchtower said if they didn't have the money to print the WT any more then it would be evidence of Jah not blessing. But they still print the stinking thing. But you're close man, real close.

I ask myself this all the time and wonder WTF is wrong with my seemingly intelligent relatives. And these are ones who are in their 60's and some reaching 70 now so we were around during the 1975 hoopla. Our parents are all gone now, you know, the ones who weren't supposed to grow old and die, and now we are all growing old. I just don't know. Will they just go on until they are dead too or will there be one really big incident that is so "out there" that it will cause a mass awakening, because all these other things, one after another sure ain't doing it!

Actually, they only print it 1/2 as often and 1/2 as many pages.

Guess Jah is only blessing them 25% of what he used to do.

I've been wondering the same thing. I wonder how many are kind of sensing something is wrong, but won't admit it or maybe flush the thoughts when they enter their minds. I wonder about my relatives who are usually pretty level-headed. Don't they see that something is wrong?

Maybe it's the emperor's new clothes phenomenon. A lot sense something wrong, but they think they're the only ones that notice it and that there's something with their thinking, so they keep quiet and continue to go with the flow.

They are seeing the things that are happening, as isolated incidents rather than as a series of connected occurrences that signify something significant is taking place. It's a case of not seeing the " forest for the trees".

For many of us, our exit from the organization was a case of "death by a thousand cuts" rather than one single incident that on it's own, was responsible for our exit. Now that we are out, we can see the bigger picture that was not apparent to us until we stepped back from our former life and saw it from a larger perspective.

I was basically a born in jw. 65 years a dub. 20 years as an elder. 5 years as as a ms. I began 'waking up' in earnest about 15 years ago and started my concentrated fade 5 years ago. I really think that most long term dubs (40+years as a dub) see whats happening and are uncomfortable but because their exists a cultural "unanimous unwillingness" to talk about their doubts, they remain publicly silent. However, I talk with with my life long jw friends nearly every day and hear their pain and dissatisfaction loud and clear. I encourage them as often as I can to search their heart and do what's right for them and their family. Unfortunately, the, "where else can we go" ,syndrome has them and I know that most of them will pass away still 'hoping' for that elusive "paradise earth". I'd pray for them, but the big guy in the sky has never answered me before so I doubt he's interested!

    just saying!

It would not be an exaggeration to say that the vast majority of J.W.'s over the age of 30 must be psychologically distressed & perplexed by the inexplicable actions & direction taken by the overlords in Brooklyn.

Trapped J.W.'s have been standing on the sidelines and watching as this religion morphed into something very different from what they joined years ago - something very ugly, and to some, something very evil.

These ones are definitely "sighing & groaning over the detestable things being done".
