I guess we are all entitled to our opinion.
Our experience was/is different with the JW's. We were both born in's. Since we have exited the JW religion, we are so much happier. Hmmm...I guess it's our imagination.
1) many who were on the destructive path have been transformed by their teachings (this includes me who was once vicious, and presumptuous and atheistic).
2) equal monthly pay to all members of the bethel community regardless of whether they are bc members or sweepers.
this is something that still remains as an unattainable dream for the world.
I guess we are all entitled to our opinion.

dear anthony morris, iii:.
i wanted to send you a note of "thanks" on this special day.. why is this day special, you may ask?
one year ago today, you, tony, woke me up to the fact that the governing body could not have jehovah's blessing or direction.. last year, on november 8th & 9th, 2014, the united states branch visit was broadcast to over 1,000,000 jehovah's witnesses across the country.. as i sat at the kingdom hall listening to the "historic occasion," i was ignoring certain doubts that had surfaced in the few months prior.
Yes, the part in the talk regarding men who are not MS's by the age of 23 really angered us. I am married to a man (30+ years) who has more love, kindness and character in his little toe than TM3 has in his entire body. Oh that's right...character doesn't count, just hours and tasks. That's all spirituality is!
Thanks you Tony for showing us the light (new light).

If I were to write a letter to TM3, I couldn't have written it better than you did. Tony's talk had a huge impact on my family. The nail in the coffin. Great post. Thank you
Hope you and your family are doing well!
just received two emails .
recently, it was announced that the warwick whq project will be completed by september 1, 2016. with a little less than 10 months left to go on the project, the construction project committee recently met with representatives from all eleven warwick construction groups throughout the u.s. the purpose of this meeting was to determine what can be done to more effectively continue the wonderful progress being made.
as a result, it has been determined that, for the duration of the project, all warwick construction groups will focus on sending experienced, skilled tradespersons who have regularly worked in their trade(s)in a secular environment.

Didn't they have an article about Brothers/Sisters leaving their wives/husbands and families for a time period to go to work in another state or country? If I remember correctly, the branch did not speak favorably of a man/woman leaving her/his wife/husband and family to do this. I believe they insinuated that the brother or his wife may be put in a precarious situation while they were apart. As usual, if it is to benefit the WT, the same rules do not apply.
HYPOCRITES!!
i am seeing and hearing many, many long-time jws openly expressing problems with either the watchtower society itself, the publications, changing doctrine, incorrectly living their lives as a result of bad doctrine, the behavior of the boe and other related things.
i will share some of these things in several posts, because there are just too many of them.
the complaints that i hear from publishers and pioneers are many.
Good to hear. Keep us updated. We are looking forward to reading additional stuff. We have been out for almost 3 years and have been curious what is going on in the ranks.
One thing we noticed is that when we bring up some issues we had while still in, with still in family members, they are not denying things or defending the org like they used to. They also admit that they are no longer donating.
just wanted to break the ice and write my first post here and also talk about some things that are bothering me.
i don't go to meetings anymore and i have become inactive for years now.
i don't believe the witnesses have the truth more than any other organized religion.
Welcome! It's a social club.
I feel the same way sometimes. I don't always fit into the "worldly" scene but I definitely don't fit into the JW cult.
Enjoying life and am fortunate to be married to my best friend who left with me.
Take one day at a time.
that is what the speaker said in his public talk this morning.
this couple both in their mid 30's, lived with me for awhile and i gave them employment, because they are both regular pioneers and married right out of high school, also because i am that kind a of guy that likes to help people.
various friends have been helping them out for years, so i guess it was my turn to help them out.. the brother got stupid with me, so i told him i had enough of them both and that it was time for them to go elsewhere.. the co loved them so much, the pioneer elder was made cobe in another congregation and a sub co. the brother also got to conduct pioneer service school.
(so he is a hot shot now).
They are finally going to have to join us in the real world!
it's been a long time since i posted.
for a brief recap, i have an aunt who is one of jehovah's witnesses.
when i was really sick, i sought out their group because i remembered the support my aunt had and how they were like a second family to her.

Your post is sad and I am sorry you have been hurt.
These people are conditional, they are not your friends. Friends do NOT treat you this way. Friendships in the JW organization are based off of JW tasks. If you perform their tasks, i.e. field service, meeting attendance, going to assemblies, pioneering and reaching out for positions (if you're a male). If you perform these tasks, then they will more than likely accept you into their little world. Let me repeat....that is not friendship. Move on with your life.
There is a great quote I think of often:
“I used to think the worst thing in life is to end up all alone. It's not. The worst thing in life is to end up with people who make you feel all alone.”
